Costa Rica Recommendations
Hey Everyone!
Since everyone here is from all over the world I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the best place to book in Costa Rica? If you live there that would be awesome to get some feedback from you..........if you have gone for vacation I would like to know from you as well :) I like to be either on a beach or close to a beach and a town that has a little bit of night life etc etc.. is a house rental better than a resort? There are 5-6 people interested in going with me. Thanks and look forward to reading your replies! Thinking of dates Mid to end of FEB to early March ( 2 weeks) |
I went to an All Inclusive in Guanacaste, not sure if this is for you if you wanna be in town but I enjoyed it. It was two huge hotels in a gated area, had a little esplanade with a casino, club, bar, some shops etc. It was right on the beach and a 10 min walk along the beach to a pretty popular bar. Tons of things to do and see from the hotel, plenty of organized trips as well and the hotel had 7 restaurants you could choose from for food as well as 4-5 bars to hang out in.

Don't get into the white Toyoata pickup truck with the red tailgate. Just don't.

Don't drive with your arm out the window, some people will cut it off to take your watch/jewelry.

If in CR you MUST hit up my boy Richard for a true offshore fishing experience. He's been at it in CR for 31 years and is considered one of the best Captains in Central America. He looks like a Tico but his from Florida. Best fishing experience you'll have.

If costaricaticas.com is still up and operating - have not checked in a few years - that site is rich in recommendations for hotels, beachfront resorts, and fishing expeditions. They are not exclusively about you-know-what, but afford lots of information that would help anyone traveling there.
