Galaxy S7 Battery Question.
Which of the three following options will lead to an overall longer battery life? As far as in years of using the phone goes?
1) Charge to 99% each night at 11 O'Clock and unplug charger? 2) Charge until 100% full (Green Light Comes On) each night at 11 O'Clock and unplug charger? 3) Charge until 100% full (Green Light Comes On) each night at 11 O'Clock and unplug charger after an extra half an hour or so? Conflicting advice abounds on teh interwebs, so I thought I'd get a consensus from the only site that really matters :) |
You also want to drain your battery on occasion.

Diminishing returns at 80% charge is the optimal percentage to stop charging at from my research if you want to go through the trouble of disconnecting it to prolong your battery life. I go through about 4-5 cycles per day.

Charge to full and disable all the shit that is not needed:
- Geo location - 3g/4g/5g - weather widget I can go 2+ days like that on my S7 Edge |
Yeah, just to clarify, I dont mean which is better to get me a longer usage tie before the next charge, I mean which is better for the wear and tear of the battery overall, so as to extend its overall lifespan (Before I need to replace it)
