Best still camera?

Hey, I'm probably getting a 4k Sony camcorder with BOSS as that's what seems to be the best.

Anyone have a recommendation for a still camera?

My equipment to-buy list is as follows. Any advice?
* Camcorder, see above.
* Camera, this thread.
* Maybe mic, optional.
* Lighting set.
* 2 tri-pods.
* Maybe a Go-Pro for a 3rd angle.

I'm gonna keep my 13 inch 2015 MBP for now. I don't want to upgrade to a 15 inch one until 2.5 more years. At most, I'll just leave it on overnight to render videos.

You want to buy "Rode" mic for audio, the go pro is great for a third angle, although, they do have fish eye look, so maybe get another cheap 4k camera for the third angle, personal I recommend the same camera as I use, it´s great for stills & amazing for 4k & hd too...

you´ll probably end up using it more than the big sony camcorder :thumbsup

LUMIX GX85 4K Mirrorless

Keeps pace with even the most expensive camera bodies in our shop.

in all honesty, a camera system depends on which glass you have or intend to get. everything comes down to the glass in the end. Any top camera body will perform with quality glass.

I use the Nikon system because I am invested in Nikon glass, expensive nikon glass. I know little about Sony or Panasonic.

the difference between canon and nikon are few. nikon supposedly a bit better flash and focus, canon a bit better high end glass more adaptable to dslr video maybe.

one other aspect of nikon is that nikon bodies are designed to be ergonomic by like the guy that designs what the fuck ever, right?

the canon bodies feel obtuse and awkward in my hands.

Nikon D750 is a great choice.
Canon 5D is also good.

If you want to stick to Sony, get Sony A7 series.
