Watched it yesterday.

I love the new sportster, but I was really impressed by the Semi. Fast charging, long hauls, Cheap Electricity powered by 100% Sunlight, monitor your fleet on your smartphone, 1 Million Mile guarantee, Super-safe (lane-keeping, impossible to jack-knife, etc).

What I really liked was automatic convoy mode. 2 or more trucks can drive in a single line thanks to some computer support, save lots of money on drag, and deliver their goods more efficiently than rail. I've always wondered if smart cars couldn't do this too (Connect cars to other cars on the Highway via Wifi or Bluetooth so they act as one).

Congrats to Tesla for their fucking-impressive tech.

there was an episode on mythbusters about fuel savings when you tailgate somebody, that obviously is not safe when humans do it, but for machines it makes perfect sense...the drag was reduced significantly, they were talking 40% if I remember well...


as for the roadster 1.9 seconds to 60 is faster than free fall and superbikes! free fall is like 2.5 seconds and superbikes are like 2.35....
