RevShare or PPS in 2018?

For the last decade I've been focused almost exclusively on cams. Cams are great, and I've done well using RevShare.

But for 2018 I'll be adding more regular paysites to my plan, and I'm curious to know the current thinking on PPS vs. Rev. Obviously it depends on the site, traffic, member's area, etc. But in general... What are retention rates like these days?

I'm guessing average lifetime customer value could easily be in the $75-$80+ range for well-run programs (even with the $1 trials). So Rev would be the best choice on those.

But others look like one-fap experiences to me, and I think PPS would be a wiser choice.

Thoughts?

paysites are waste of time if you're doing good with cams for the past 5 or more years.

On our paysites in Japan adult niche in JAVBUCKS RevShare model is more profitable.

We have PPS and Revshare for Paysites and cams. But best to discuss in detail what you want to do. It may very well turn out that you are better off promoting another vertical. Pls skype me nwilliams_248

my words, so true. i prefer always revshare for camsites.

and if you want do paysites, than only PPS, because we have to be happy, when we get/find real people who spend money on professional porns etc. in this days/time its hard to find new customers for buying porn. ask woodman,he can sing a song of piracy and tubesites.

also nowadays after doing 10-15 years professional movies, pornstars try to now to sell their own content/scenes too on manyvids, onlyfans, modelcentro or or or.. pornstars like aletta ocean, romi rain, rachel starr, mia malkova, kendra lust, and and and..

so in my opinion, its harder to find new spenders on/for paysites, if this girls have/use her fanbase for her own sites.

:2 cents:

JamesDrews 11-17-2017 10:08 AM

I still make good money with promoting pay-sites (PPS and Rev-Share).

Barry-xlovecam 11-17-2017 10:27 AM

Try a customer acquisition spend of $400 to $1,000 avg with cams (not on freemium sites AFIK)

TheDynasty 11-17-2017 11:23 AM

Cams Rock try out Camsoda in sig!

The Porn Nerd 11-17-2017 01:11 PM

For CCBill paysites I recommend Revshare.
For NATS paysites I recommend PPS.

Hit me up to discuss. For MY Program (CCBill) you can either do Revshare (50% normally, 60% for the whole month of December) OR a $50 PPS.

:)

I won't be abandoning cams any time soon. Cams are my bread and butter. Like you, I've thought for years that paysites are a waste of time.

But I no longer believe that. I just think most webmasters are doing a poor job of selling them. What worked 10 years ago won't work today, and many of the (few remaining) webmasters are still stuck in their old ways.

One reason we know (some) paysites are still thriving is because the big networks are continuing to innovate. New niches. New offers. Gorgeous tours. They wouldn't be investing in new shit if the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

This is a point I've tried to make with others in this biz... it's usually about the GIRL -- not the SITE. When a guy falls for a model, he wants to collect all her shit. He doesn't care about the logo at the top of the page. He cares about the girl that helps him get his rocks off over and over again.

That's why cams do so well, and that's why camgirls can migrate from one site to another. Their fans will follow them wherever they go.

we need a porn netflix, one log in for a lot of networks/studios/labels for one good prize/month.

and this i would run as webmastering.

i wish you good luck in 2018, dont forget to tell us your results : )

Then maybe you should consider promoting VOD instead of paysites.

People have been saying for years that paysites are dead and my response has always been: well if that's true how come people keep creating new ones?

For Affiliates a major problem with paysites was Programs closing, no support, no new promo tools (or short 2 minute videos when full ones are available on tubes), poor tracking and all kinds of issues. But if you find ones that convert consistently (like mine do) then there's still money to be made.

Bonus: less affiliates means less competition for your traffic! :)

Exactly right. Over the last several years webmasters have been bitching about the tubes. Taking all the traffic and then buying up all the programs. I get it. Scary times. But those of us who are left in the biz have lived to tell the tale.

Now, today, it's a New World Order. And most of the shit-tier sponsors have disappeared. Those that are left are solid (for the most part).

The industry has self-corrected over the last several years. You can now subscribe to the entire Brazzers network for $100/yr. That's a good value, IMO. And I think surfers will recognize that more and more. PornPros, TeamSkeet, RealityKings, PornNerd, and on and on... all of those networks are worth ~ $100/yr -- if for nothing else, the convenience of not dealing with torrents, viruses, low-quality tube vids, etc.

But I think the biggest problem -- even bigger than the "porn is free" mentality -- is trust. Paysites have been fucking over surfers for so long (banging cards, hidden fees, unwanted cross-sells, etc.), people are rightly scared to pull out a credit card.

But again, I think the remaining networks are slowly fixing that. MindGeek et al. are thinking long-term. They want to keep customers happy for years, and they're less concerned about instant windfall profits.

All of that to say... I think the future is bright for (some) paysite networks. Though I admit I developed that perspective only recently.

I call BS...

most paysites are generic & are probably hard sales compared to cams, but, if you can titivate your traffic first then send to sites like mine, solo models, willing to give more than just the usual paysite, youŽll not only receive your sale at a reasonable conversion rate, mines 1:200 atm. But youŽll also have a long lasting retention on your sale, your traffic will provide you with a fantastic income.

IŽm promoting 30% off atm, a BlackFriday & Christmas promotion, therefore $17.49 a month, also giving my fans a $5 for 5 day choice, 2 in 5 continue through to my monthly at $18. My usual monthly fee at $24.99.

My sales are constant & daily, so I suggest you give paysites another go because as long as you have genuine traffic, youŽll convert :thumbsup

Excellent post, and I agree 100%.

Cams are great when you land a whale but when your revenue fluctuates like a rollercoaster it can be stressful, especially if you have set expenses you need to cover weekly or monthly. Besides, people like ownership (downloads) and being part of something (a membership, a club). Also cam shows are great for awhile but often they're just a big tease when all you want is to watch your favorite type of blowjob or anal fuck.

There is room for both and honestly you should be promoting everything.

Some sponsors (like adult force) show you rebills even when you're on PPS, so you can do the math yourself to see what wil make you more money.

I tend do go for $35 when that is offered, but if someone offers $30 and don't have trials I go with recurring, since it only need to rebill once to make the same amount as PPS.

The most annoying programs are those with $1 trials with only recurring option and the member never rebills :1orglaugh

hdbuilder 12-06-2017 08:28 AM

PPS for Paysites when offered and REVS with Cams like you already do....
