Is torrenting not the in thing, these days?

I was just now trying to look for something on KAT.PH and THEPIRATEBAY.SE and it failed miserably
Then I tried the old google "torrent queryhere" and that didn't go well
What the hell on earth is the story here these days
Is limewire making a comeback or what?

MrMaxwell 11-25-2017 08:06 AM

Apparently KAT works but it's not useful now and really tries to hammer you with ads and shit

The owners of KAT and TPB are done. Those sites up are probably fake just to track you. The goverment took those guys down. I believe they both have documentaries on youtube of what happened to them.

ianmoone332000 11-25-2017 11:21 AM

Use skytorrents and zooqle . Thank me later

Im pretty sure that when the government took KAT and TPB to court all of the other major torrent sites probably went down with it. They were some of the top torrent sites.

I downloaded a few things from TPB a few days ago and they all were fake files and who ever has ownership of the sites said its best to hide your IP.

I tend to use https://1337x.to over Tor.

They say that cause they promote affiliate links to PBN providers :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

GFED 11-25-2017 10:14 PM

Zero day has always been through newsgroups.

Mediamix 11-25-2017 10:15 PM

Sometimes people on a webmaster board make me laugh. This is one of those times...

Honestly try these. I especially like zooqle.com with its layout. I torrent tv shows every other day tbh and these are the 2 best torrent sites at the moment. Avoid piratebay etc there just spam fests now

No, but the newsgroups get the zero day before torrent sites. If you want torrents visit IPT since SCC closed down.

bronco67 11-26-2017 08:55 PM

The music and movie industry adapted rather well. I'd rather go through the proper channels and pay for the easy to access digital products -- than to slither around torrent sites trying to take money away from the creators.

newB 11-27-2017 08:49 AM

A guy I know used to download torrents and apparently got a letter from his ISP which detailed exactly what he was downloading and threatened civil action and termination of his account if he persisted. Apparently he was setting his torrent download program to download the files then leaving it unattended, so once the download was complete he was then a host peer, or seeder or whatever you want to call it. I had heard about Kodi (here on GFY, actually) and suggested it as an alternative. He thanks me almost every time I see him. :1orglaugh

Apparently you can also connect a joystick and play vintage console games on it, and that has been his latest kick.

A lot of add-ons on kodi are p2p as well. Nothing to stop you from getting an infringement letter for using kodi. I've got one before.

Barry-xlovecam 11-27-2017 11:44 AM

torrents became tormenting (in the USA) with regard to copyright infringement.

You're not too bright if you go around accusing people of things without even knowing what you're talking about that's my opinion if you ask me

PornDiscounts-V 11-29-2017 01:34 AM

Pisexy me

But for most things, work hard, pay for them. Or Kodi for streaming...

But since I make money I pay for HBO, Netflix, Showtime, NHL Network, get NFL with my Verizon phone (Chromecast to TV), etc...

ianmoone332000 11-29-2017 03:54 AM

I used kodi but got fed up with all the problems. I now use a firestick with iptv and its great for live tv. I ended up getting a year subscription for £50 and it gives me over 2k channels. That includes all sky sports, american sports, movies. It even has things like the WWE network and the big boxing ppvs too

Just like this guy I am sure running to the police to claim his reward

Yeah I pay for HBO Cinemax and Encore and all but I wouldn't take your sports television channels if you paid for me to watch them unless you paid me a lot that's for sure
Cable television and internet only costs about 83000 dollars per month here so it's no big deal
They told me for 93000 I could even have a DVR with a tuner or two

Well since he is carrying a bottle clearly hugely labelled DYE PACK we may suppose that he is delivering dye pack dye ... you know, since actual due packs are generally HIDDEN IN MONEY
Doofus
What kind of genius goes around assuming and accusing anyway
