Exxxotica is way more exciting than our shows

I remember when our shows used to be so much fun.... You never knew what was going to happen next. Now.... very tame, very lame.

I just put up the photos from Exxxotica on YNOT Shoot Me and it seems like Exxxotica is a lot more fun....

You're comparing apples to oranges. Exxxotica is aimed at consumers (fans) not B2B.

I disagree. Our industry is made up of performers. Performers, models, and content were all looking for work, or looking for affilaites to promote their sites. Shows used to be an excuse to go to a different location and do photo shoots.

We used to be cutting edge entrepreneurs who worked eighteen hour days. We did everything - we recruited the talent, shot the content, edited the photos and videos, build the sites, maintained the sites, worked with the billing....

We used to rent out the largest hotel suites we could afford and bring in our own booze and just throw parties. Content was every where. The first time I met Aaron Matthews was at an ICS party - he was in the bathroom shooting Ram banging KittyCat 69 in the tub. During a convention party.

Sigh. Those were the days.

Those were the days of "anything goes". Of course sometimes we got way out of hand.

Note all the past tense in your post. You're comparing the past B2B adult shows to current adult consumer shows. I built my first adult site 20 years ago this Fall. I'm no newbie. Non consumer adult shows haven't been bastions for talent or affiliates to do much business in nearly a decade. If there was still substantial business to be done, those people would be there, and the sponsors and others throwing money (parties) at them would be as well.

You can wax nostalgic all you want, but the comparison is still flawed.

Our industry used to be full of entrepreneurs. Now it's full of "business people" who have destroyed our industry.

Other than VR, what innovation do we have these days? None.

What does any of that have to do with "our shows" not being as fun as Exxxotica? You've completely changed your point.

If you're saying the business has matured, I'll agree with that 100%. How "fun" current consumer shows are vs "our shows" is just selective memory. Business got done BEFORE all the parties, not after, when most everyone was either wasted or busy trying to get laid.

That's a pretty honest statement right there.

It was the entrepreneurs that was fun.

I'll agree with your Rochard, the shows are not what they used to be. Performer's mindset is very different now, I miss the days of the solo girls just being funny and naughty together at those events.

I think it's better to keep surfer/bussiness part separated :)
