I think we can all agree that the things you mention are an issue for Bitcoin but there are many more coins snapping at the heels of bitcoin ready to jump in should bitcoin fail.

We are not there yet though... Yes, Bitcoin has many issues but (hopefully) they are being resolved.
The number of transactions scaled way faster then was previously expected.

Give it time and you should see very fast and almost free tranactions again.

Sorry, but who will cover a power for almost free transaction? Idiots? no. nobody will run miners for this!

Talk of a block size increase because of potential overcrowding first started at least 3 or 4 years ago. There's been a lot of arguing over what to do when the block size limit was hit. Not unexpected at all. Even the Blockstream CEO (oops, I mean the "Bitcoin Core" guy) suggested a couple of years ago they may do a one-off block size increase as some temporary relief, but...nope, that never happened. It's in Blockstream's best interests to get people to experience some pain and hold out for the magic of their off-chain solutions, but I personally think they've left it too late.

Don't forget miners get paid a sizeable block reward.

why?

Because all of you are in it for the $$$ and not because you love BTC...you love $$$

now with such a huge market cap all further investments would require tons of money to be poured in to the system for BTC to rise...

on the other hand other altcoins can easily be pumped...the penny coins are looking mighty attractive compared to the 20K coin...all other currencies at the moment are a better and easier investment...theres 1000s of them and at least 100 of them are better than BTC...lower transaction fees, quicker deposits, higher profits etc...

at the moment every single one of you "coiners" is looking @ other altcoins and not thinking about investing in BTC any more :2 cents::2 cents:
