Anyone who did that had that one nagging thought in the back of his head saying "what if this is the crash?"

2MuchMark 12-22-2017 10:23 PM

Yes. Sold about half just as it was starting to drop, and then bought it back today.

Your months don't add up. 22 days seems a little short

Buy and hold, buy and hold.
When it drops? Don't check. Live a happier life.

No, I wasn't smart enough

rowan 12-22-2017 11:45 PM

I've been casually trading during the roller coaster ride by buying (or selling) then setting a sell (or buy) limit order to about 3-4% difference, to cover the fees plus a small profit. At the moment this works pretty well, but there's always the threat that the roller coaster will shift a level and that open order will never execute.

Hmm, guess this is the sort of thing that could be automated...

Sell house, car and buy for all your money bitcoins right now!

If you lost your money I will give you back ALL what you put in.

OK?

GFED 12-23-2017 03:53 AM

I bought into the dip, but too early. I also transferred some into XVG, ETN, DOGE.

CaptainHowdy 12-23-2017 01:53 PM

Of course not ...

The best thing to do is just hold. I sold some then bought it back when it started to climb again, but I was really nervous. Had it not gone the way i wanted it would have been really costly.

The price will ALWAYS go up and down when you look at it closely. But step back and look at the trend from the beginning, you'll see that its value and those of other coins will just keep on climbing. Everyone wants to make a bug, and no one wants to miss the boat.

PornDiscounts-V 12-23-2017 02:41 PM

Next year the fad will be over.

I tried to buy a couple of hundred dollars worth. But coinbase was locked down. No buys/no sales.

There's still a wave coming for bitcoin. It's about to go into negative territory again.. Dead cat bounce.

Supposedly b2x fork is suppose to happen on the 28th.. If that actually does happen then bitcoin becomes the ethereum classic to b2x.

I just bailed out completely. It's become pretty apparent lately the exchanges are price fixing. Very likely why capital is fleeing.

I'd really like to know how the exchanges would be price fixing. You want an example of price fixing, look to the major players of Bitcoin Cash and I mean the dev team. That's how it's done.

All you have to do is look at an exchange right now. Particularly binance. All they are doing is recycling through old buys and sells at the moment. Most top coins have been in unofficial (who would officiate anyway?) suspended trading for over 12 hours.

The Porn Nerd 12-24-2017 10:51 AM

Everything is down, down, down...tells me someone is gaming the system, pushing the prices down so they can say "Hey look people! It's low, but Bitcoin!" Then when it goes through the roof, sell.

Also: don't check every 3 minutes. It will drive you cuckoo. LOL

Yep, definitely being gamed.. eth was at 550ish for a moment last night. What they are doing is driving the price down, buying low, then moving the price up and reselling. It's always under market as well. So then they send the coin to another exchange and sell there for some arbitrage.

1btc is mine!

RandyRandy 12-24-2017 01:08 PM

Which dip? The one two days ago or the one that's happening now?

I guess this dip is a Christmas present for all those who missed the last dip 48 hours ago.

Coinbase. The industry standard. Signing up 100,000+ a day. But you can buy and sell only when they let you. And let's not talk about the transactional fees because, Bitcoin.

Smack dat 12-24-2017 01:37 PM

Fucking Coinbase sucks at the moment. I had my btc held for 3 days.
It's still now even showing in my wallet (nothing too do with bitcoin).

SantaClause 12-25-2017 07:51 AM

It take so much time just to buy a fucking coin.
