PlayStation VR

Got one for 12yo, she tried Skyrim, wasn?t impressed with comfort and eye strain, says she wants to swap it for a Nintendo Switch, hasn?t played the other games. Is it too soon to give up?

I can see how it would be awkward for a small head. Also it can be quite blurry even on a ps4 pro. So i'd expect worse on a regular ps4.

I find the best experiences are horror style games like resident evil 7 or until dawn rush of blood. 12 year old girl might not get much use out of it.

Got my boy a switch for today and i am actually impressed. Got Mario Odyssey and been playing it with him for hours. Just my personal opinion but i feel a 12 year old girl would get more out of a switch than the PSVR

:thumbsup

Got her to try it again later on, did a deep sea dive, she loved it. The rest of us tried too and all enjoyed. Even indulged myself with a shark dive this morning.

12yo does find Rush of Blood a bit scary so far lol

Our 6yo got a Switch, agreed, the device is impressive, especially Mario Odyssey. That was what the 12yo was initially saying to swap for, but now she seems to be into Skyrim VR, I think initially the headset as not on properly and she didn't know she could sit down. Probably will need a second Switch at some point, for times when they both want it. Though right now looks like the 6yo is waiting for a go on VR.

Probably wont solve your issue in getting 2 switches but i was looking into buying just an extra dock. That way i could just set that dock up downstairs and once the kids in bed, i could just plug the tablet part in and use it too. Saves moving the dock around all the time as we prefer playing it on the T.V rather than handheld. Price for an extra dock is £69.99 which is too expensive but there are cheaper non Nintendo ones im looking at
