I made my wife cry on Christmas day in front of her family

My wife lost the diamond of her wedding ring last month, and we've been working with our homeowners insurance to see if it was covered. This required us to ship it out to have it inspected, etc, which took forever, and it turns out it wasn't covered. Knowing that Christmas was coming up I just sort of failed to mention anything to my wife about it.

Christmas morning in front of her entire family, I got down on one knee and gave it back to her.

Not a dry eye in the house.

I hope your Christmas was better than mine, because mine was pretty damn good.

Bladewire 12-25-2017 10:12 PM

You're so awesome that's cool! Did you give it back to her with a new diamond in it or was she crying because it still had no diamond? Lol

Spunky 12-25-2017 10:13 PM

How big was the rock?

imabro 12-26-2017 12:38 AM

That's pretty mean, to use Christmas to tell her it isn't covered.

No wonder she cried.

hjnet 12-26-2017 01:22 AM

Well done! :)

And that make her crying? A ring with a diamond? For real? You are kidding us. Please admit it.

Christ this cringy story made me sick. You're not in some unrealistic sappy romantic movie. If someone would do that among my family or friends we would be laughing at them, or ripping on them.

"Lost her diamond" - it's in her black boyfriend's ear on the east side. She had it made into an earring for him after he filled her with his seed. She cried on Christmas from the guilt.

I got down on one knee with the new diamond. She didn't see it coming.

Bigger than it was originally so she was happy.

Your family sounds like a lot of fun.

Once again, we see a trend that heartwarming story makes the far right nutters angry.. I guess our far right nutters here on gfy really are just lonely basement dwelling 4chan rejects.. sad.

shake 12-26-2017 10:15 AM

Kind of shitty the insurance made you mail it off just to tell you it's not covered.

Good job picking a new one and getting it for her though. Women love that kind of thing.

Yes, we all have a lot of humor and know not to take things seriously, it's always great fun and we often laugh our asses off at get-togethers. An actor like you would not survive :1orglaugh

TheDynasty 12-26-2017 10:47 AM

Glad everyone had such a great Xmas!

I guarantee your family aren't idiots like you. You're the idiot they ignore, barely tolerate & dread asking to family functions because you're always talking about America and how much you hate Americans :1orglaugh

I kind of knew that was going to happen, and knew they were going to offer to fix it for me. I knew it was a long shot. It all worked out in the end.

You do your best work on your knees, Tuefelhunden ;) j/k

How would your homeowners insurance not cover it? She lost it in the house, no?

Your story doens't make a shit bit of sense.

mineistaken 12-27-2017 09:59 AM

We should only assume that you bough and put in new stone in that ring here? You failed to mention this detail in your story, lol.

Ps: what the insurance were "inspecting"? Sounds like a waste of resources - you either cover or not, why "inspect" it?
