.....Oh wait, there wasn't any... don't tell Republicans this. In their constant push to rewrite history with la la land and day dreams, Republicans in South Carolina have decided they want to erect a statue honoring black confederate soldiers..

There is only one problem... There were no black confederate soldiers who stood up as they claim to defend the south. The confederate wouldnt allow free blacks to have guns, not even in the civil war and blacks that were used by the Confederate, were forced to do so as slaves, they were not paid and held positions like cooks and forced labor..

Does anyone except brainwashed right wing dumb dumbs actually believe slaves would rise up to defend their right to be slaves.... :1orglaugh

It was about Southern independence. You know, regions sometimes fight for independence even if slavery is not involved.

No, it was about heavy taxation on prosperous farming and cotton industries down south. North wasn't that "industrialized" back than.
Less than 5% of Southerners were "slave owners".
