Anyone got a Dyson V7 Motorhead Cordless Vacuum Cleaner...

Anyone got one of these? Or even the V6 Or the V8?

If so, any good? I know there are various sub models in each range that basically differentiate themselves by the accessories included in the box, but that's all fine and dandy... Just wondering if before I go and steal one tomorrow, if its a good steal or a bad steal?

Any thoughts?

Sucks. Last like 10 mins and takes hours to charge. I used to swear by Dyson but their vacuums have turned to shit. It?s almost like a different company from years ago.

I literally have like 2k dollars worth of useless dyson vacs sitting in my closet.

Avoid.

There's a guy on youtube who takes apart all the dyson crap. You'd think twice when you see how cheaply they are made.

I had a German Shepherd for 10 yrs and I went through 2 of the Animal uprights. They lasted about 5 years a piece, which was good considering they were used daily due to dog hair and me being an anal neat freak.

I bought one (Animal upright) last year and they totally changed it. It's a cheap flimsy piece of plastic with a shorter cord and less suction power. I also bought one of those cordless ones at the same time. That one works good but the battery sucks, and the kicker is the battery totally died after a year and Dyson told me they need to be replaced yearly. WTF? I paid $400 bucks for a cordless vacuum that needs a new battery ($80 fucking dollars) every year?

I'll never buy another Dyson again.

You probably need to look at Industrial models. Doubt Dyson can handle Poo. :winkwink:

My battery died after 1 yr and they told me it dies after so many hours of use and needs to be replaced @$80 per battery.

I have a Dyson Animal that worked well ... at first. After only a few years, I started sucking less and less, despite following all the preventative maintenance and keeping it clean. It seems to be plain wearing out. I'm no longer a Dyson fan.

Waranty is 2 years ... at least that is what I got... They first sent me the whole motor assembly ... which was not the problem ... then the battery .
