Microsoft stops Bitcoin payments
Microsoft has pulled its Bitcoin payment options and TBH I dont blame them with the high transaction fees and all the problems with the slow network. If Bitcoin dont sort this out quickly they will eventually loose most of their high profile merchants.

huge fluctuations in price probably don't help either.

Well the IMF, world bank, etc. has succeeded in killing it's crypto competition, they just threw enough money at it to make it valuable enough that people don't want to spend it and rather covet it instead. In order to be powerful a currency must flow. Brilliant move on their part Adele do it to every single crypto that comes along and me each one a bubble until it happens so many times that people walk away from it in its current form.

In the end probably a good thing for crypto to get Korean exchanges out of the mix.

high fees is killing bitcoin

The constant price volatility is not helping the transition to an actual currency used for transactions.
Who wants to spend their BTC on goods and services when its value rises everyday ? Likewise should the value start falling, merchants will avoid it like the plague. |

I mean what could possibly go wrong?...2018 will be the year bitcoin mining uses more electricity than the USA and 2020 the entire world!...no problem there at all :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh it will not cause the prices of electricity to rise at all and governments like china will be full of understanding :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
Not a surprise, with the huge fluctuations. I'm not even sure bitcoin will stabilize, and a very good point was made above, by Bladewire, about people wanting to actually own bitcoin, rather than spend it. I do wonder if it will ever become stable enough, it certainly offers advantages, such as anonymity, which a lot care about.

you local grocery store doesn't accept gold bricks either, does it mean gold bricks are worthless or now worth less because your local grocery store doesn't accept them?
