Never silly to take risks that have potential. BTC is going through a phase, win or lose, best jump on board and hope for the best.

It's like a porn site. You invest and wait for results. Some days you do well, some days you lose a little. Life is a gamble; walking across the street can be good or end badly. As long as a loss won't cripple you and you can survive ... These things as investments are unpredictable so if you're worried, sell. Only you know how your pocketbook is really doing.

It's a good gamble actually. With $14k on the table, win or loose, you never know.
It might go $9k, it might go $30k within a few months. But for sure it won't go $0.

If you get your kicks out of buying BTC, why not??

Personally, I'm looking forward to when it has all been mined and stability allows it to work better as a currency, but, for now, Pam is dead on correct.

It's hard to determine. It's been hovering around the same price since December without much movement in either direction. Same for all other coins. I took a hit trying to guess which of the alternate coins would do well so now I'd say just stick to what most everyone else says: Buy some BTC, and hold it.

the best days this year so far to have bought were the 1st, 11th and 14th...

tbh, you bought on the worst day to buy so far this year, it´s been at it´s peak. Next time when it gets that high again, over the next weeks, sell, then buy when it goes down as it´s fluctuating between 13k and 15k atm, you bought at 17k :(
