China publicly mocks America & government shutdown

#ThanksTrump fucking idiot

""The Western democratic system is hailed by the developed world as near perfect and the most superior political system to run a country," it said.

"However, what's happening in the United States today will make more people worldwide reflect on the viability and legitimacy of such a chaotic political system," it said.
"

Chinese state media: US government shutdown exposes 'chronic flaws'

BEIJING (Reuters) - China's official news agency said in a commentary on Sunday that the shutdown of the U.S. government exposed "chronic flaws" in the U.S. political system.

Funding for federal agencies ran out at midnight on Friday in Washington after lawmakers failed to agree on a stopgap funding bill.

"What's so ironic is that it came on the first anniversary of Donald Trump's presidency on Saturday, a slap in the face for the leadership in Washington," China's Xinhua News Agency said in a commentary by Xinhua writer Liu Chang.

The commentary said that the Trump administration had "backtracked" on policies supported by his predecessor, Barack Obama, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement and U.S. participation in the Paris climate agreement.

"If there was any legacy that has survived the transfer of power, it was the spirit of non-cooperation across party lines," the Xinhua commentary said.

While Xinhua commentaries are not official statements, they offer a reflection of Beijing's thinking.

"The Western democratic system is hailed by the developed world as near perfect and the most superior political system to run a country," it said.

"However, what's happening in the United States today will make more people worldwide reflect on the viability and legitimacy of such a chaotic political system," it said.

At a twice-a-decade congress of China's ruling Communist Party in October, President Xi Jinping was anointed for a second term as party chief, strengthening his grip on power.

I think every nation is laughing worriedly at the USA but none more so than China, because they stand to gain the most, sure Putin got his personal dig at Clinton and fucked the democratic process, but Russia will still remain a "shithole", where as China they get to do what ever they want now. The only thing that had a hope of slowing that was TTP and unfortunately even if that is renegotiated, its too late.

Multiple countries warned the USA that their elections were being swayed by Russian influences, and while the emphasis is on "if their was collusion" and quite rightly so, the actual event of Russian interference has not even been addressed, after Obama expelling 35 Russian diplomats and adding some new sanctions.

That shit goes down.. and two months later Trump's entertaining Russians in the oval office, sharing secrets and announcing the Russian and American military will work together on preventing election hacking.

WTF?

And his dumb fuck supporters just skip over it's like normal behaviour.

China is incredibly oversold, run by one dimensional engineers who are building ghost cities and see through highrises cause that's ALL they know.

Russians told heartland America to vote for Trump, NOT.

Rochard 01-22-2018 10:49 AM

So much winning....

One of the things I fail to understand is why this is allowed to happen. We already know this is going to happen, so why can't we prevent it? It's not difficult.

Something like this:
- Thirty days prior to a potential shut down, Congress and the Senate is not paid, not allowed to leave Washington, and no other bills or laws are passed until this is resolved.
- In the event of a shut down, a certain percentage of the past budget should be automatically set aside to allow the US government to continue.
- In the event of a shut down lasting more than one week, members of Congress and the Senate should be fined a percentage of their yearly pay.
- In the event of a shut down lasting more than one month, special elections will be called for to replace both all members of Congress and the Senate.

I fail to understand how this happens. Not just this time, but also with past administrations. They know these deadlines are coming up. In this case, the Trump administration was scrambling to ram through this tax bill just to make it look like they accomplished something.

If you think Russians convinced heartland to vote for Trump you have it ass backwards. The people who voted for Ron Paul and read the DrudgeReport were stuck with Trump as the lesser of evils. I'm going to stay out of these threads from now on. The arguments in here are on a 6th grade level.

Trump is a REPUBLICAN President, with a REPUBLICAN house and a REPUBLICAN Senate, and he still managed to let the government shut down. All 3 parts are on the same side and Trumpy still couldn't figure it out.

I have a lot of share's in the USA and carry a shit load of debt here in Aus, so yeah there's a reason I'm right in tune with the American political system, which is a fairly common scenario here in Aus as we have compulsory superannuation and like most mines split between local investments and foreign, indecently I pay Tax in the USA as well and most likely more than many of the posters on this board. I certainly don't hate half of Americans nor would I even dislike 75% of Trumps supporters, but that is that 15% ya know ;)

What I do despise is people from countries that have Government propaganda driven hate for Americans ( Ruskis ) and try and pass that off as support for Trump, when your real agenda is just to fuck the USA in anyway you can. But I do believe, even hope, you and Putty have an ass fucking coming like never before.

Keep in mind, America does not need Russia for anything, and neither does China, But China certainly needs America, and America certainly needs China. Meanwhile Europe invests more heavily than anyone in alternate fuels. Once the dust settles and new world order is arranged.. Russia will still be in the cold and you can thank Putty for that.

I was an on site apartment manager for a 100 unit complex by the beach here in America for 3 years, before moving to live on the Gold Coast in Australia for 5 years. The owners of the complex here were Chinese. They were the most cheap & coniving people I've ever met. Very very nice polite people in person but they paid me scraps, delayed repairs as long as possible on every single unit, violated city codes on all sorts of shit, raised the rent on long time tenants in units with old carpet, try to keep as much of a deposit as possible when someone moved out, the list goes on. I was constantly having to fight them on not fucking people over. Constantly!

If I'd never met or interacted with them you'd think they were the negative stereotype of Jews. I'm not stereotyping all Chinese as being like this it's just my personal experience with Chinese so far in real life.

Papua New Guinea is more an issue for the international companies ( mining) operating out of Australia, BHP and the likes not really an issue, Australia's invested billions there for fuck all return except for those mining companies .

Think of it like this, less than 30,000 Australians a year visit there, 1.2 million go to Bali yet Papua New Guinea is only 4 hours away vs 7 hours to Bali,.. and has nicer beaches ;)

So.. We'd rather holiday in Muslim country than go there and doing business is the same.

TTP now named CPTPP, like they say America is welcome to join, which is a bit fucking different than being at the negotiating table making sure your country gets what it wants or needs, but they are welcome to join and as Abe pointed out.. so is China.

But how those policies are set out is being decided now and the USA is no longer apart of those discussions.

welcome to join later though..

I just did a search to see what American farmers are saying, heres one..

TPP countries move on without the U.S. | National Hog Farmer

Once the new trade agreement is finalized, member countries will enjoy lower tariff trade with one another. The CPTPP will sharply cut agricultural tariffs for the 11 country members. Also, Korea, the Philippines and Thailand are expected to join the new trade agreement once it is ratified. Thus U.S. companies and industries will find themselves at a disadvantage. U.S. agriculture is expected to lose sales and market share once the agreement goes into effect.

According to Japanese media reports nearly two-dozen stipulations sought by the U.S. in the original TPP deal were shelved after Washington withdrew.

Trump?s beef with the TPP is that he claims it will hurt American workers and undercut US companies. His stance on trade is protectionist: he believes that the average American farmer and auto worker has lost out from the fact that labour is cheap in developing countries like China, Vietnam, and Malaysia.

He?s definitely not wrong here?many low-skilled jobs that used to belong to the backbone of American industrial towns have been shipped overseas because, hey, if no one (read: the government) is stopping profit-driven corporations from lowering production costs, what incentive would they have to continue manufacturing products in higher cost jurisdictions like the US?

Trumps beef with Tpp and the same reason RT clucked you over it was that under the original conditions if the USA decided to add sanctions to a county.. ( RUSSIA ), then all in the group had to as well. Hence why it was so urgent to cancel on day two of his presidency. Pure and simple there is your reason.

My guess is Trump will rejoin, just with none of the conditions the USA wanted or and most scary.. China does. Either way or not at all.. it's American farmers who get screwed.

President Trump says he would consider re-entering the Trans-Pacific Partnership if he can secure a "substantially better deal" for the U.S.
...
Trump is also trying to re-negotiate the three-way NAFTA trade deal with Canada and Mexico. He says he'll pull out of that if the U.S. can't secure better terms.

"NAFTA is a horrible deal ? we're negotiating it. I may terminate nafta, I may not. We'll see what happens. And I went around and told stadiums full of people ? we may terminate it, we may not," he said.

Mr. Trump had previously called NAFTA "a disaster" and said in the Oval Office this past Fall that he's been "opposed to NAFTA for a long time."

USA is out of the trading deal, originally the trade off for the USA was to being able to better impose sanctions and slow the growth of China with the idea of helping out countries like Malaysia who also have cheap labour more reliant on trade with the USA than China, From Americas side it would of meant cheap stuff came from partner countries rather than China. ( Slowing their growth )

Because the USA left the deal most of the conditions it wanted have been removed, so as a trade deal, there's nothing to stop China joining it now. Same with the USA rejoining, but because they left the negotiating table they won't get half of what they wanted before if they decide to rejoin, deals being done now, Trumps only back tracking because the deals going ahead with out the USA and its American business that will directly lose, mainly through anything they trade with Japan.

BTW my concluding guess is trump rejoins, dreamers get allowed, and he ends up happy with 10 miles of wall, then the economy tanks as interest rates start raising since everything's done on borrowed money.
