I can't get twitter followers to save my life, what the heck!
 

I mean come on. I can't get any followers on twitter. I'm stuck at the same number.

I was paying 1200.00 a month for 7 Veils to do twitter for me but I didn't see a real increase in business so I stopped and figured I'll just do it myself. That's not really working out for me either. It just seems like I can't quite figure out what works.

Advice? Articles? Videos?

Mine grows at 40-80 daily.

I'm trying to figure out how to engage better. I'm posting mostly dirty stories. Then individual posts for my operators in between. Just some random thoughts here and there.

I don't follow them either. I have looked at a few, they seem to be more about doing retweets.

TBH, I really don't get Twitter; especially the concept of following people I don't know. I have double the number of followers than people I follow and I don't know why. I have never made it a goal to get followers and was a little surprised when I looked earlier in this thread.

I am always surprised when I see I have new followers, I figure they are looking for people to follow them back.

Did they tell you what you did to get suspended? How long is the suspension and do you figure followers will leave if they don't see updates?

Better yet, do you follow your fans or at least look at their Twitter page to see their habits?

I've got 90k followers and it's close to useless. It's been about a year that I stopped using it.

My advice is if you're a content producer post up one of your girls on facebook and then rinse the punters one at a time. It's easy enough to bring in a few hundred an hour and for those few times you actually need a broad to talk to the punter they're cheap enough to bring in for a couple of days work.

ok, to the twitter. Twitter is full of 4 different people, follow me and i´ll follow you back, they want lots of followers, these people aren´t obviously great for business but tbh, if you have a few, why not, but add a clause, give me some retweets then :winkwink:
second is the b2b, great for knowing you have a family, a friend, but in honesty, we´re here to make money, so b2b, hope they follow if it´s affiliates, wanting to know what you´re promoting that week, but no need to follow back.
Then, 2 other types, the porn lovers, one may only want to chat with you and admire your work, the other is to buy, the buyer won´t always retweet and the admirer will. Both are important & the admirer more so,as they will retweet you and you will be seen by the buyer 10 fold.

TBH, some cam girls only have 2 or 3 k of followers, but all of them can be admirers, this means you´ll have all your content retweeted and many more sales will come in and the buyer doesn´t always follow you there, they´re wanting to see what you have in the product, not on social media where their wives and family may see them :thumbsup

I check my followers, I also have studied high flyers with millions of followers, the models are usually because they´ve been with Brazzers and other large companies, but most of those followers are either admirers not buyers and some many are the follow me and hoping the follow back.

Twitter is a damn good backbone to social media & hopefully they won´t lose the porn. I´m still not sure why I was suspended, they´ve said indefinitely and they haven´t said why. I guess because, #facepalm I was blasting trump, a little drunk one night. Foolish to my own self. I´m now keeping my twitter to promoting me and nothing to do with politics or news :thumbsup

I've been thinking about getting into writing twitter bots...

At first I was thinking, pick a porn niche and have a bot cross-post well-liked stuff from tumblr. But you need so much traffic to make money in porn, and regular twitter users don't engage with porn. It's all weird, anonymous accounts. It seems like it would be really hard to make money in adult on twitter.

It seems like mainstream would be so much easier on twitter. I'm thinking about starting up a crypto or weight loss blog and coding up a replicable twitter bot to cross-post niche-specific articles from google news, retweet from niche-specific accounts, and follow users who engage with other niche-specific accounts.

I just don't see much potential in twitter for adult...who goes to twitter for porn?

That's really what I was wondering. Though I'm selling phone sex, what guy wants to follow me unless he's a total schmuck loser with no friends. I'd be embarrassed to follow a phone sex company if I was a halfway normal guy. I wouldn't be embarrassed to follow a porn star though. I'm wondering if only the views, link clicks and engagements are really what matters and that's where the focus should be.

Right, that's exactly why I'm not so hot on pushing porn on twitter. People who really use twitter a lot and engage with it in their daily lives and have real friends who they follow and interact with probably aren't following/retweeting porn accounts unless it's something really legit like a porn star (but even then, probably not).

The views, link clicks, and engagements are pretty much the only thing that matters right? And I figure, with porn, it's gonna be both harder to get those, and the value of each is lower (because you need 100x the traffic to make money in adult).

Twitter is worth it when you have something original to engage with. And it always helps to follow people who are in your line of business and enjoy a more collective effect on there. We have a few hundred K followers, and all generated by our models, quality of clicks is extreme high.

It's not based on the potential embarrassment of porn star vs. phone sex company; it's about the porn star, the babe, the person the guy thinks she is or that she projects herself as. Guys want a "real" fantasy. They fall for the girl, not the company or cam site or magazine where they can find her. She leaves, they leave. That doesn't work with Twitter, because the content we use is guess what? Porn stars or models whatever. They USUALLY have their own twitter and then will call my girl out. We have even had the actual model harass us to take the content down even though it was purchased.

That's why I like to keep unidentifiable photos with sayings or whatever on there because then they just can't call you out on a public forum.

You ARE in a tough bind because as others have said, it's all about the girl. And with phone sex it's NOT visual (that's the appeal). So how do you promote an auditory experience in a visual medium?

Maybe buying photos from an agency, the rights, and then if the model complains or calls you out you just show the contract and say STFU honeycakes. LOL

The other option is to go 'mainstream' and do tease-only type of photos. Women in business suits, teachers, nurses, whatever the fantasy is but 'stock' photos. Just trying to brainstorm some ideas here but I guess one would need a brain to do that sort of thing. LOL
