Dashcam Video Shows ?Senseless? Killing Of Iranian-American By Federal Cops, Lawyers Say
Fuck these cops need jail.
WASHINGTON ― U.S Park Police shot and killed an unarmed American man of Iranian descent in Fairfax County, Virginia, last November. In the months since the incident, the federal government hasn?t offered any explanation as to what led unnamed federal law enforcement officers to shoot and kill 25-year-old Bijan Ghaisar. But local authorities on Wednesday released a disturbing dashcam video that sheds new light on the shooting and could put pressure on the federal government to bring charges against the agents involved. The dashcam video shows the fatal encounter that was a culmination of a police chase of Ghaisar?s Jeep. An unidentified federal officer hops out of the passenger seat of his police vehicle and points his gun at Ghaisar?s stopped vehicle. As the officer stands near the driver?s side of the Jeep pointing his weapon, the car slowly moves forward. The officer fires once. He fires four more times. His partner comes up behind him. More shots are fired, and the vehicle abruptly stops. Officers with the U.S. Park Police shot Ghaisar in the head four times on Nov. 17. Ghaisar, who by all accounts was unarmed and alone on George Washington Memorial Parkway, died 10 days later due to brain damage. Since then, the Ghaisar family has been seeking answers from the federal government about what happened to the football-loving young man from suburban Virginia who worked at his dad?s accounting firm and was looking forward to becoming an uncle. ?Not only did we lose Bijan, on top of it [all] but ... we have no information,? Ghaisar?s mother, Kelly, told HuffPost. ?The total silence of this case makes us, our whole family, feel even worse, because we have to deal with Bijan?s loss and the way that he was taken.? In shootings involving federal officers, like the U.S. Park Police which are under the U.S. Interior Department?s National Park Service, there?s often little information available upfront, while shootings involving local officers typically provide more. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry...h pmg00000009 |
He was continueing to escape. Under their rules can they then shoot? Seems pretty straight forward as to what happened. Was it legal is the question.

I think they could claim this - The fleeing suspect would have to pose a significant threat of death or of bodily harm to the officer or to others, according to Friedman and other experts.

I agree, he could have killed many and we all know about fast moving cars diven into pedestrians, so this may have been the only way to stop him safely....the cops did try to open the doors and the guy almost run over them...they should NOT be charged.:2 cents:

do they just shoot poor people? |
One more execution. Why didn't they shoot in his tires or a front grill?

Police good job.

Without knowing the circumstances behind the chase, it looks like a straight-up execution.

You run from the police and you get what you deserve. This man was a threat to society and also a threat to police. When a police officer has a gun pointed at you and you do not do what you are told to do... you get shot. This is just basic common sense.

Shouldn't have run

Yeah, this one is never going to go against the cop. We just had a cop shoot a later who had made the initial call. Unarmed but ran up on the car. They can pretty much do any thing and be ok.

for a person who simply drove off from an accident he was victim too.. in theory he was just following 'normal procedure' attempting to clear the road in order to speak with the police we will never know because they put a bullet through his skull. then another another another another another |
How you gonna get shot by park police? I mean damn at least get shot by the real police.

Juror baldbastard says.. deserved, after the first shots he was still attempting to get away, so more bullets needed.
It was his choice to not stop and face the music first time like a real man, continuing just endangered the lives of others, be a different story if they shot once, and he continued driving ( as he was attempting) and hits a family of 5 travelling home from holidays and kills them all. With the amount of guns in the USA, I don't blame the cops from shooting first and asking questions later, not the case in this scenario though. What I don't get is why he's called an Iranian-American I's that like saying Slovenian-American, Ivanka Trump or Jewish-American Jared Kushner or is it more politically correct to say, Son of Jailed Tax Evading, witness tampering political manulipating Charles Kushner. |
