The President cannot fire Mueller.

The Donald cannot personally fire Mueller directly. Only the Attorney General can fire Mueller directly. The Donald can order the AG to fire Mueller and if the AG refuses the Donald can personally fire the AG.

It is not in and of itself "obstruction of justice" for the Donald to order the AG to fire Mueller as he has the constitutional authority to do that.

The Donald can keep firing AG's until he finds one that will fire Mueller, the same as President Nixon did with the Special Prosecutor investigating him. The AG and the assistant AG would not fire the Special Prosecutor but the 3rd in line, Bork, did.

Why would Trump want to fire Mueller? Trump isn't worried about Mueller, as he didn't actually "collude" with Russia to have them influence the election (which they didn't.) Mueller's probe is leading straight to the Democrats & their shady Russia deals. :1orglaugh

It's obstruction of justice no matter how you look at it. If the President attempts to fire someone who is investigating him, it's obstruction of justice. If the president orders the AG to fire the person investigating him, it's obstruction of justice.

It's very simple.

You're very simply wrong. The president can fire the FBI director, or any other federal employee. It's perfectly within his rights to do that, therefore it's not "obstruction." It's not a crime in any way. Here's a Democrat lawyer to explain this:

Alan Dershowitz: Trump did not obstruct justice in firing James Comey

Sorry Rochard, your hysteria is not based in fact.

Is this a movie?

The Porn Nerd 01-26-2018 01:13 PM

Remember back when this happened to Nixon the country still had a teensy, weensy bit of morality and decency left. But now fifty years later, with the greedy Baby Boomers in charge, anything goes so there's no "moral shame" like in Nixon's day.

That's why so many politicians have that annoying shit-eating grin they always wear. It's because they KNOW they will be zero consequences. No one gives a fuck except to watch the game and root for their side to "win". But in the end we're all losers for not holding these snakes accountable. We get the Government we deserve after all.

Actually, there are mass protests already organized in pretty much every notable city in this country in the event Trump fires Mueller. Firing Mueller has long been the red line. If Trump attempts to remove the check and balances of our legal system he gets removed by the people.

In your mind it is but there is not any legal culpability on the Donald's part if he orders the AG to fire the Donald.

What is even more upsetting to me is the people who are enabling this - the politicians. Namely Paul Ryan and Mitch Mcconnell. How can you claim to be a patriot when you damn well know the President of the United States has in fact colluding with Russia obstructing justice?

How can ANYONE support ANY of this?

They want to make America a dictatorship and are using trump to try and accomplish this. They really think they have a shot at it and trump believes this as well.

They backed the wrong horse. I'm still stunned at how this happened. Trump was ridiculous from the start.

We live in a Republic controlled by plutocrats. 538 people annointed Trump POTUS despite a majority in the millions voting for the other candidate. That's the Republic part of our "democracy". Rich people (plutocrats) control who becomes president and every 8 years they force a republican win to appease their financial interests. Bush lost the majority and still "won" POTUS in our "democracy".

Ever wonder why ALL the elections in America (mayors, governors, etc) are Democratic by majority rule BUT for the presidency?

It isn't simple at all.

What you are stating above is your opinion, which, unless I'm very much mistaken, has no value in any court or legal forum anywhere in the world.

The question of what the president can do within the executive branch, of which he is the head, is quite unsettled.

Further, the one way to definitively answer that question is the process of impeachment, which in my opinion will not happen (though you have stated your opinion is that republicans will, out of fear of losing elections, join in the impeachment of a president of their own party) unless the house goes democrat.

Even in that case for the president to be removed requires a two thirds vote in the senate, or 66 votes. Without ironclad, not political, evidence of active and malicious malfeasance, the result will be the same as when president Clinton was impeached. Nothing.
