What's a good members area manager now a days?

I have a customer that keeps draining his bandwidth from just a couple big members and needs to be able to regulate it some.

Ideally the members are could regulate bandwidth or how much content a member downloads.

Also to prevent site stealing and password sharing if possible.

Thanks for any feedback :pimp

I can fix it for you for .35 Cents.

Disclaimer : Gotta make my bid low enough to get the job.

Get ProxyPass from Proxigence. Password sharing, password crackers & bandwidth hogs will all be a thing of the past.

Beat me to it.

That, or Strongbox (but I recommend Proxigence).

Oh yeah ProxyPass and Strongbox, those are the good ones. Thanks!

Strongbox may prevent password sharing, but last time I checked, it doesn't do anything in regards to excess b/w consumption. Throttlebox does that, but I don't think it's still sold nor has been updated in a decade. Strongbox also seems to be on life support.

Depending on your customer's size and needs, it may make more sense to hire someone to create a custom security solution--or at least take something out there and modify it to his specific needs. I had this done and do not regret it at all.

Just like I figured; I have to make my bid even lower to get this job.

.03 Cents and that's my final offer.

I agree. I've been using this for many years ....and it's always worked very well.
