Right off the bat the document you posted is wrong on facts.
It states that something must be fishy because he claims that Weinstein took no legal action.
Quote:
Just ask yourself this: do you think it is possible to
fire a man from his own company for sexual harassment accusations? This is a country of law—
allegedly—not a country of hearsay. Legally, you cannot be fired for accusations. You can only be
fired for convictions. That is true for little ole you, working at the Five&Dime, but it is also true for
CEOs of major companies. The law is supposed to be blind to such distinctions. So even if a
company's board of directors had the power to fire the majority owner and head of the company—
which is doubtful—they still don't have the legal authority to do so based on accusations. Weinstein
should be suing for wrongful termination, but mysteriously we don't see that.

In fact, back in October Weinstein brought in a lawyer to do up a wrongful termination case, exactly as your guy claims he should have but didn't.

Quote:
After Harvey Weinstein was fired on Oct. 8 by his company’s board, which cited “new information about misconduct,” he hired a lawyer, Patricia Glaser, to press a wrongful termination case. It was not immediately clear whether Ms. Glaser would continue to pursue the case. Harvey Weinstein, who owns 23 percent of the company, signed an intricate three-year employment contract in 2015. His team believes that the contract offered at least some insulation from the studio’s code of conduct and that any dismissal must involve arbitration.

Quote:
Harvey Weinstein has served a demand for arbitration on The Weinstein Co. and is challenging his termination. The demand was quietly filed at JAMS on Oct. 25.
The revelation comes in a footnote in court papers filed Wednesday in Delaware Chancery Court. There, Weinstein is demanding TWC hand over personnel and employment records.

I don't know the status of all this right now but the assumption that he took no legal action is wrong.
