So i tested google chrome 65 and here is findings

I did test with top tube sites too see does pop trigger or not.
So here is results:
Pornhub.com - shows pop
Xhamster.com - shows pop
xvideos.com/xnxx.com - does not show it

First two tube sites claim how they are "compliant" with new regulation by executing pop in window instead new tab, but does that means how they are really compliant or they just made anti-adblock code that i dont know.

If anyone wants me to test more urls, post here.

Interesting, your look a bit "newer" then mine. Could be because i am using linux version. Do you get pop anywhere?

Yes, but version which me / bladewire are using are beta/dev versions which you can use to see how things work before official release. For example, on play store type chrome beta and you will get same version as bladewire have it.

Also noticed one more thing - it seems when i switch user agent to mobile , suddenly pops does not appear on pornhub/redtube/xhamster. Could be how this "compliance" thing allow modified pop on desktop but not on mobile.

My I ask why you are only testing with the 65 variation? I'm on my desktop now and I have version 66 here. Click image to enlarge and see full version number.

On my desktop with Canary 66 all of Pornhubs ads are missing. I downsized the page to show you where all the ads usually are. Click image below to see full size.

Bladewire 02-05-2018 05:44 PM

On RedTube, no ads are showing and you only see 502 Bad Gateway errors in their place. Click image below to see full size. I see no ads on XHamster either

Are you on a 32 bit or 64 bit system? What's your OS?

Seems odd we're on the same version of Canary and ads are blocked for my system and not yours, it actually doesn't hold true TBH.

Not sure where do you get that version lol. But as that version is still in early development, it can show different results on different machines.

So far this is what i found:
On pornhub/redtube/xhamster pop show when you visit as desktop chrome user. Pop does not show when you visit as mobile chrome user, any version. Pop shows on both mobile and desktop with any other browser which is not chrome.

But what i trying to determine here, if we assume how these samples are "compliant", is behaviour on sites which didnt changed anything in their way of executing pop.

You get my version here. You can get the source code here. It updates every couple days.

So far I've only come across just one ad company that can bypass my desktop version and it's owned by a developer in Poland. The same ad company is completely blocked on my mobile version though, no popups from anyone else have gotten through so far. Also, the desktop version disables certain auto download links from 3rd party sites. They're doing something with disabling certain redirects too.
