Blockchain can certainly be use to prove authorship though and greatly simplify DMCA requests for takedown. Part of the issue is always going to be proof of authority. Companies like Selfkey.org are doing this for personal identity so why not content?

Isn't the entire point of block chain so one entity can't control it?
