That F--king Quentin Tarantino Star Trek Movie Will Be Rated R

Quentin Tarantino Hatches New Star Trek Movie; JJ Abrams produces | Deadline

Will this be the coolest Star Trek movie ever? Or the total destruction of the franchise?

I'm betting coolest Star Trek ever.

I hope William Shatner is in it. Can you imagine? Shatner, being Shatner, directed by Tarantino?

Bladewire 02-28-2018 11:55 AM

JJ Abrams is producing so it will be great :thumbsup

AllAboutCams 02-28-2018 12:05 PM

I thought William Shatner was dead

pimpmaster9000 02-28-2018 12:06 PM

fuck I love star trek...I hope they do something new and original and not just typical hollywood shoot-em-up action for the whole movie...exploring space and running in to new shit would be ideal...not the age old klingon vs humans or a fucking remake of a remake of a worn out story...

If you look at the last one Star Trek: Beyond, it was a step in that direction. It was fun, and didn't follow the usual rules of a Star Trek movie. I think Tarantino would so something interesting while also respecting the mythos of the franchise.

Rochard 02-28-2018 03:31 PM

I guess we'll see.

I just watched Wrath of Khan this morning. I love the classics.

Nope. So far, people in Star Trek who have passed away are

Anton Yelchin (2009 Chekov)
Leonard Nimoy (1966 Spock)
DeForest Kelley (1966 Bones)
James Doohan (1966 Scotty)
Majel Barrett (1966 Chapel)
Grace Lee Whitney (1966 Yeoman Rand)

:(

Ugghh, i don't get it. To me, the last Star Trek was the WORST. To me it was dull and boring and pointless and shoot-em-up bang bang bang bang bang with endless mistakes. I *really* hated the last 'Trek movie. I felt like I couldn't give 2 fucks about anyone in the movie. Even the new Warp-drive effect was ugly and stupid. Why did you get me started on this? Gleaarrrrgghhh!!!

He is !!!! he died 15 years ago.
Stan Winston Studios took his skin and made it into an fully automated animatronic robot that drinks and farts and acts really badly, just like the real thing :1orglaugh

Well at least you were entertained then. I was so bored I couldn't even think of something like that.

I have a feeling that he may try to make something a little like "The City on the Edge of Forever". I read somewhere that this was T's favourite episode.
