Blizzard Due Tomorrow ...

Another f’ing storm. Third one in two weeks in March. Yesterday morning they said 6”, at noon they said 8” and t dinner time 12”-18”. NOW it’s up to 24” of light, fluffy snow but preceded by rain, so it will be an iced nightmare.

Stores ran out of milk and bread and snacks, gas stations went dry and everyone is panicking. 48 this weekend coming so it will all melt fast.

New England planting season is soon and with such moist soil, the crop should be plentiful and cheap. Down the road one farm already has rows dug up for seeds and water lines.

I feel for people upstate who got 18” last week and now this. I canceled two doctor appointments so I’m not sad! Good luck to everyone in New England

Not scared at all. I know you said you were in a coma for a few years, but going a couple years back we got over something like 10 feet of snow. We had back to back to back 20-30 inch snow storms. So these 12-18 inches are like a dusting lol especially if it's that fluffy light snow.

Damn. Wher are you located? I hadn't heard of a winter with that much snow. Light fluffy snow is good but if it rains first, then hits 30 at night, stupid drivers will end up causing havoc.

It was 72 here two weeks ago! Lulled into complacency since it was a mild winter.

I don't think I'd be happy living in an area without four different seasons. I love Spring and Fall, but the snow is .. just ...

But not having a winter wardrobe would alleviate my need for more closet space ;)

I'm 30 mins north of you.

"Boston breaks seasonal snowfall record with 108.6 inches. More snow fell on Boston on Sunday, enough to make this the snowiest season ever on record there. The National Weather Service said 2.9 inches fell by 7 p.m., pushing total snowfall for the winter of 2014-2015 to 108.6 inches.Mar 15, 2015"

I have had about enough this year, 16" last week and another 12-16 tomorrow. I to have Dr's appointment Wednesday so it will be ploughing tomorrow so that i can drive out to the road.

Ah, by the 140 split?

I was awake back then but amnesia prevents me from remembering that winter. I have a vague memory of no visitors for three days due to snow but am not sure when that was. Being on the coast usually means less snow.

When I lived up there we had bad winters. Y'all up north get it the worst. Going over the bridge into Portsmouth was NOT fun. Then you'd get stuck behind every skier driving to enjoy the snow but have no clue how drive in snow.

Your town sounds like mine. Back roads aren't plowed quickly and getting to the main road is treacherous. Hopefully this is the last storm until November!

Busty2 03-13-2018 06:33 PM

Looks like ill miss my appointment Wednesday. Im not getting up at 5am to snow blow a 1000yard drive just to get on a road that the town may or may not have plowed. 20 inches so far today some places more due to the high winds, another 8 inches due tomorrow Wednesday 14th. :Oh crap

I escaped just in time last night. Was in Seabrook, NH and drove out of there. Hit Snow from Albany to Syracuse but after that it was clear.

Looks like it got pounded where I was at.

I lived there for a few years. Route 1 is fun to drive on in the snow, huh?!

No power here since 9 am. Generator saved the day and they say days before power is restored. 15” so far with high wind and huge drifts. Every two hours I hear the guys shoveling but the plow hasn’t been by yet. It’s still snowing hard.

News reporters are falling down from wind gusts while standing in snow while it snows. Tough job ...

I think our blizzard season is over. Last one was a doozy

Priceless. And this is what you get living in California. :2 cents: :thumbsup
