Google to Ban Cryptocurrency Ads
Google is reportedly banning cryptocurrency ads beginning in June. The company states that they will no longer run ads for what they characterize as 'unregulated or speculative financial products'. The site is looking to get rid of all traces of crypto ads including binary options, foreign exchange markets, and contracts for difference (CFDs) as well as initial coin offerings (ICOs).
The ban will exclude ads from appearing alongside search results, including YouTube and other third-party sites. Facebook recently implemented a similar ban which they said misled many of its users. Christine Lagarde of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) stated, "The rapid growth of crypto-assets, the extreme volatility in their traded prices, and their ill-defined connections to the traditional financial world could easily create new vulnerabilities." The move to ban cryptocurrency ads won't have much if any, detrimental impact on Google's $95.4 billion ad business. Drives me sick, people are just blindly installing Chrome , creating gmail accounts, etc not understanding that they are giving Google the total control about what they can or cannot see.

I was expecting this but there was also a scenario that they launch their own coin.

to many scammers buying ads. I recall seeing ads for Bitconnect, Davor coin and other scam ICOs. To many want to jump in and get rich without doing the research

the problem is most alts have almost bled to death...if you look at the sub top 10 coins most are down 70-90% since the peak in early january...now that their marketing is getting fucked I do not see how they will go anywhere but down...this in turn will cause demand for BTC to tank because it was a gateway from fiat to crypto...ETH will go down as well because it relied to much on alt volume/ICO-s etc...so will the other "platform" coins... the flow of new capital in to crypto has been severely diminished by this move from google...it is certainly not the end of crypto but it is not looking bullish at all at the moment... |
Hope yall cashed out at the right time!

They are treating crypto like Silk Road
