When you sell your site, do you sell the recurring rebills too?

When you sell a site, how do you handle the rebills? Do you transfer the rebills to the new owner?

Im interested in selling my site but dont know how the rebills part works.
thanks

What kind of a site? A paysite or an affiliate site promoting others?

Rochard 03-15-2018 11:44 AM

When you sell your site you sell your site - ALL of it. This includes current customers, past customers, and all rebills. All of this goes to the new owner. You no longer own the site, so you no longer collect money from rebills. If customers are still rebilling it's because they are members of a site you no longer own.

No. I sold a site that promotes cam models. Affiliate accounts not included, I switched all the links to the new owner's affiliate IDs

When we buy sites we take over everything.

Hit me up if you want to talk. We’re still buying sites, libraries, cross sales, cam platforms etc etc

How did you price it? Usually price is X times monthly rev but since cam affiliate income is based on sign ups to that affiliate id if you change the affiliate then income is basically starting at zero I would think.

There is still SE rankings and such I guess.

So curious as to how you would compute a sale price for it.

Thanks in advance.

When I sold my TGP, that included all the affiliate accounts and the rebills. Think about it... when you sell a business, you don't take the customers with you.

PPS, then? Otherwise by simply switching links you'd still have residual income.

Wonder how much of a pain it is to transfer affiliate accounts into another name.

The site was getting around 120 signups to CB per month, all search engine traffic.

I was asking $2,000 and accepted 1850.

All RevShare links, I kept my previous signups & income. Yeah I had to edit the affiliate ID on 900 blog posts, took a couple hours.

thanks all. Its a gay mens daddy bear dating/hookup site, so guys who are older or into older men. Not sure if youre interested in that.
Members join for free and upgrade if they want premium features (more messages, access to videos, access member galleries, etc).
If you look at the gay apps now theres a LOT of promotion around bears, daddies, etc. Really solid niche. Plus old men spend money.

income:
year transactions income
2018 537 $5118.79
2017 2835 $27608.21
2016 3039 $30987.04
2015 2669 $29215.54
2014 1368 $24087.31
2013 1275 $29163.20
2012 1344 $36873.00
2011 1803 $44237.40
2010 1350 $32214.00
2009 749 $15531.95

Just added a link to cams 2 years ago and so far it brought this in: $13402.87

over 100k members in database but its never been cleaned so I dont know how many are active.
close to 5000 subs on PH, FB and Xvideos combined.

Im not going to say publicly what I want. So hit me up.

Its been good to me with little effort put into it, so looking for someone who is serious and makes a good offer. I imagine someone who put a lot of work into it could do extremely well with it, but Im burned out on doing it alone with no help and I want to do mainstream sites.
thanks

This! It really depends on what you and the buyer agreed to. We usually assume all rebill after a site purchase but that's set in the contract.
