Measles is highly contagious and spreads like wildfire. Measles causes encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) in about one in every thousand children who get it. That's pretty serious. If you put a handful of people with measles in a metropolitan area, and if nobody was vaccinated, by the end of the month you'd have 50,000 people with measles. Just the loss of wages alone would staggering.

Whereas the risk of the MMR vaccine is far greater, causing seizures in 1 in 640. The vaccines has not been studied properly, the former head of the NIH said it is time to conduct the necessary studies, but as always the industry avoids them. The only time they did do a proper study on it, a CDC whistleblower confirmed they had to destroy the incriminating data, as the fall out was going to be too bad.
