Democrat Iron Worker who lives with his mom, might actually beat Paul Ryan

At 1st it was sort of a joke, a Democrat Iron Worker and union guy that lives with his mother and is unmarried was making a challenge for Paul Ryan's seat in Congress.

Turns out this joke actually has a solid message and He's now raised 4.5 million with 3/4 of that money being small donations under $200 dollars. He has now turned Paul Ryan's easy win into a actual fight.

The added kicker is despite Paul Ryan being elected for 10 terms the district was carried by Obama meaning its a nice shade of purple not red or blue.

This is how fed up of Republicans the country has become.. The speaker of the house may lose his seat in the midterms to a guy who lives with his mom...

Ryan is a chicken shit who wants to run if he has no risk of losing. If he is at risk of losing, like now he intends to drop out like the other Republicans who are scared to be beat and have dropped out.

You know Paul Ryan is probably not going to run again? He stated this a while ago, while nothing is confirmed it's probably his best move is to get the tax cut he has worked his entire career for. Distance himself from Trump and then run for President.

He isn't scared about losing. Because he won't lose, it's because now he can say he got his tax bill passed as speaker something that hasn't been done in ages and then can distance himself from Cheeto boy (who he obv has disdain for since day 1 but just played nice) And make his move for the white house.

Paul Ryan has said he wouldn't likely run if he couldn't be the Speaker.. ie He's a chicken shit that will drop out if he can't be the guy in charge.

Acepimp this time isn't wrong. It was rumored he was done with Washington even before taking over. I think Trump winning the election was the final straw for him. Point Finale. Also I think the dems are getting too cocky again about midterms and are going to lose. Watch it happen.

The rumors all relate to if he can remain the House speaker or not.

I thought I liked Ryan... Right up to the point where he walked into a shelter and started doing dishes. Remember that during his campaign? He just walked into a shelter to do dishes as if he was a "good person". Bullshit - no one believes that. If he volunteered at the shelter once a week every week for the past two years, then I'll believe it. I work for a local charity here in town; I don't do it because I want others to think I am a good person but instead because I want my local community to be better.

Paul Ryan is just like all of the others - all about image and not about substance.

I think he really wants to be nowhere near power while Trump is there, gauge 2020 and see if he can make a run.

Ryan likely could have made a presidential run until Trump.. To Trump nutters He's the enemy within and to democrats and most Americans He's a spineless coffee boy..

By being wimp and a suck up, he has destroyed any chance he once had of moving past his last year in office as a elected offical..

Sandra Fluke: Paul Ryan on women’s issues – so bad it’s unbelievable … but true

Defending conservatism doesn't mean I support Trump. I don't play this game where since I am on the RED team everything they do I support.

I am looking at the situation and I think Ryan wants to get away from Trump. It's what I see, right? wrong? It's my opinion.

Being exclusively part of a tribe and agreeing with everything they do is the most dangerous thing in the world IMO. Which is why I feel more and more alienated by the current liberal agenda. I had hope for Trudeau, voted for the guy, I couldn't be more embarrassed by that decision, we are really going down some rabbit holes that are very very dangerous and I would rather protect what we have now (in regards to free speech) and have some people be offended then open pandora's box. So yes, I can sympathize with what conservatives in the US are trying to defend.

I don't think you should instantly dismiss someone's opinion because they wear a red tie or a blue tie, a curious mind is an educated mind.

Ryan is now owned by Trump.. He can't squirm his way out. He laid cover for the abortion that was the House Russia investigation..

Ryan is complacent in whatever Trump does by failing his job at being a essential part of our check and balance.

Ryan is a traitor to our Constitution.

This isn't about the Republicans or Democrats. It's about how pissed off the American working class and lower middle class are at the decades of rule by the elite who are in the pockets of billionaires.

Good luck to this guy whatever hat he wears.

Cook lists his district as safe - what do you have?
