Booking.com - Make sure your always "logged in' when booking rooms, the more you book, the cheaper the hotels become. This gives you a loyalty status.

Only just figured this out 6 months ago and I've been using the app for 2+ years!!! (I previously only used to the app as a guest! Must of cost myself a fortune! ) :1orglaugh

I'll add one thing that might apply to other sites; while checking prices with Agoda I found the prices cheaper when I used their mobile app. Odd.

Be really careful with Booking as they allow some of the hotels to do some tricky shit.

What bad experience did you have?

I had a last minute two week stay reserved in Slovakia. Decided to not go to that particular property, so I cancelled in time, knowing I would be penalized with a one night charge. The hotel confirmed the cancellation but nonetheless charged my card for the entire two week stay, refusing to refund the money. A phone call into the Booking.com got the money released.
