Advice on Marketing for Paysites/Clipstores
Hello everyone,
I have been an adult producer for the past few years. At first, we sold all of our content exclusively to websites. Then we opened some clipstores on C4S etc... and started producing our own content as well. Last year we used an adult website group to create our own niche member site. It does well but we only get 55% from sales. This year we are all grown up and ready to take the next step, getting our own billing account, CMS and opening 2 new member sites. We do a combo of homemade/amateur and pro-am content. With that said, we have little experience in the advertising/marketing field. We use tumblr and twitter extensively, post teasers on tube sites and have paid for advertisements on adult radio shows but thats about it. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
You can register at xHamster Premium , post promo videos on xHamster and get traffic from widget near the video to your clipstore. |

It sounds like you want to buy traffic.
Best sources for adult are trafficjunky (pornhub), exoclick (almost every adult site), trafficfactory (xvideos), and trafficstars (xhamster). They have many ad formats, including banners and popunders. If you want the most dirt-cheap traffic possible you can buy remnant skimmed and pop traffic from trafficshop, but it probably won't convert. If you're really serious about this, you probably need to start thinking like a media buyer/affiliate marketer. Get conversion tracking set up and start split-testing creatives and landers. Use conversion tracking to find the best traffic sources, zones, and segments; cut the bad ones, keep the good ones. Set up retargeting: You should be flooding all your abandoned join submits with banners and pops on every network possible. Problem is, media buyers mostly aren't bothering with adult paysites anymore. How many banners do you actually see for paysites that aren't Mindgeek-owned? Very few. They don't convert as well as scamming people with antivirus/dating/dick-pill offers. It will be very hard to achieve a positive ROI. Potentially you could get onto an affiliate network like CrakRevenue, but I doubt it would be effective. Media-buying affiliates would ignore your offer for the reasons in the previous paragraph. A few webmasters and social-network focused affiliates might give you a chance. In my opinion, the best way for a paysite to advertise in 2018 is to get into the partner content programs on the big 3 tubes. Add lots of your highest-quality content and point the "sponsored" links they give you at the most optimized, split-tested landers possible. Potentially you could game the big tubes' ranking algorithms by sending popunders to your own videos on the big tubes. Final thought: You'll notice that Mindgeek isn't bothering with brand marketing on their paysite banners; their banners are optimized purely for clicks, and do not say "brazzers" or "reality kings". I find this very interesting. |
Thank you guys for your suggestions! :)
