iCloud security for contacts? Rate on a 1-to-10 ?
We often hear about celebs getting their iCloud account hacked and nude photos getting shared. However you never hear about other info really.
I'm considering syncing my contacts book with iCloud - For backup purposes should my iMac fail. Would you consider this particularly risky? There's nothing in my contacts that I would be afraid to show law enforcement, however I certainly wouldn't want it to fall into the wrong hands as it also has passwords and private notes within it... On a 1 to 10, how would you rate iCloud security? |
I think most hacks like that are social engineering, not actually hacking their system.

In the 10 years Ive had the iTunes account (Which has now become the iCloud account) I have never had so much as a sniff of trouble... I'll probably chance it :thumbsup |
After all that it didn't fucking work properly anyway! Out of the 100+ contacts with notes etc, only about 20 of them uploaded to iCloud. Pointless.

Well I got there in the end - Just had to re-enter all the missing contacts at the icloud end. They reappeared in my contact book as duplicates, so I deleted those and now they all match :)
