Well if he's talking about a TGP or like site to promote I mix both FHGs and galleries I make myself cause I love to make Gif galleries. Also sometimes a simple handmade gallery with hot hand cropped images can sell better than FHGs.. But I don't have the time to make 100% of my galleries.
