Father returned confiscated guns to his Waffle House shooter son

WTF?

Quote:

State police in Illinois, where Reinking lived until last fall, revoked his state firearms card at the request of the FBI and the four guns were taken from him, authorities said. Nashville Police spokesman Don Aaron said the guns were returned to his father, who told authorities Sunday he had given the weapons to his son.

Mandatory jail sentence, 90 days community service & revocation of his right to vote & own firearms and cannot live in a residence with firearms, in a common sense world.

SilentKnight 04-22-2018 03:02 PM

"In a common sense world" - a term no longer applicable in this day and age unfortunately.

GAMEFINEST 04-22-2018 03:04 PM

Horrible decision made worse

EddyTheDog 04-22-2018 03:35 PM

I have only read the headlines - Was there a reason that he did it in the nude or did he just think it was a good idea at the time?..

blackmonsters 04-22-2018 03:37 PM

You'd think the FBI requesting something would be a clue.
But I guess not.

I have read nothing other than it happened at the Waffle House, which usually explains some shit.

onwebcam 04-22-2018 05:43 PM

And the reason he had his guns taken is he threatened Trump. FBI is ALWAYS involved.

I can't believe that the FBI gave his father the gun's back either - Not sure what you're getting at though?..

SilentKnight 04-22-2018 06:43 PM

Secret Service and FBI confiscate this guy's guns because he won't leave the area around the White House when told to. They give the weapons to the father (who I'm sure must be aware of his son's mental issues and the reasons why the guns were confiscated)...and then simply gives the guns back to the kid.

I don't know alot about the legalities...but I should think the father should be somehow charged. He's provided the means and enabled his kid to murder those 4 people. He shares the blood on his hands.

Such a fucked situation.

Rochard 04-22-2018 07:52 PM

At this point I think both the son and the father are guilty of murder.

What about the FBI? He appears to have been a threat to the President yet they handed the weapons back.

Kind of like how they were watching the Twitter shooter.

Kind of like how they were watching the Parkland shooter

Kind of like how they were watching the Orlando shooter

Seems the FBI is all up in some shooters shit..

The same Russian fake nic that says guns don't kill people, people kill people.

How bout you focus on Russia's gun laws? Oh you can't because Putin owns your ass and is scared ofcsn armed population rising up against him.

It's painfully obvious we're never going to eliminate these kinds of incidents so it would be good for every citizen to understand how firearms operate. This guy knew that time is needed to reload a weapon and that few seconds could be the difference between life and death. Not everyone would have the balls to rush him, but at least if everyone knows there's an opportunity to attack between magazines then these kind of shootings could be stopped more often.

I would bet that most of the cowards who do these shootings are little bitches when attcked with fists.

Quote:

U.S. Secret Service agents arrested Reinking last July for being in a restricted area near the White House, officials said. Special Agent Todd Hudson said Reinking was detained after refusing to leave the restricted area, saying he wanted to meet President Donald Trump.

State police in Illinois, where Reinking lived until last fall, subsequently revoked his state firearms card at the request of the FBI and four guns were then taken from him, including the AR-15 used in Sunday's shooting as well as a handgun, authorities said.

Sheriff Robert Huston in Tazewell County, Illinois, said deputies allowed Reinking's father to take possession of the guns on the promise that he would "keep the weapons secure and out of the possession of Travis." Huston added that, based on past deputies' encounters with Reinking, "there's certainly evidence that there's some sort of mental health issues involved."

While Huston said it was unclear how Reinking reclaimed the guns, Nashville Police spokesman Don Aaron said that his father "has now acknowledged giving them back to his son."
Quote:

Nashville Chief Anderson said there was no Tennessee law that would have barred Reinking from having guns, though weapons could be taken away if the suspect had serious mental health issues. That would require taking him to court and having his rights taken away because of illness, a sometimes lengthy and difficult process, Anderson said.

Police reports filed in Illinois showed past run-ins with authorities there.

In May 2016, Tazewell County deputies were called to a CVS parking lot where Reinking told officers that Taylor Swift was stalking him and hacking his phone, and that his family was also involved, according to a report released Sunday. Reinking agreed to go to a local hospital for an evaluation after repeatedly resisting the request, the report said.

Another report from the sheriff's office said Reinking barged into a community pool in Tremont, Illinois, last June and jumped into the water wearing a pink woman's coat over his underwear. Investigators believed he had an AR-15 rifle in his car trunk, but it was never displayed. No charges were filed.
It's further proof that Americans can't be trusted to own guns.

Gun ownership.

Canada 30.8

United States 101

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estima...ita_by_country

So the logical conclusion is Canada should have 30% of deaths by guns that America has.

This is a historical list of countries by firearm-related death rate per 100,000 population in one year.

United States 11.96

Canada 2.05 Less than 20%of the rate in the US.

He should be tried for aiding and abetting. Something that carries long prison sentence.

Rochard 04-23-2018 08:01 AM

Did you hear what this kid has done btw? He thinks Taylor Swift is stalking him and then there is this...

"Another report from the sheriff’s office said Reinking barged into a community pool in Tremont last June and jumped into the water wearing a pink woman’s coat over his underwear."

Four people not LOLing about that ATM.

At least they caught the sonuvabitch.

Watch...they'll deem him unfit to stand trial and he'll spend his time in a plushie mental institute somewhere.

timlover 04-23-2018 01:09 PM

This kid grew up about 15 minutes from where I live. Basically one of the towns like mine that is 5-10 minutes outside of Peoria, IL. There are bout 20 towns that comprise "The Greater Peoria Area"

The local media has been running shit on this guy. From what I've gathered from that and locals on FB that knew this kid. He was fucking certifiably nuts.

Which makes you wonder what was going through his pea brain at the moment.

"Hmm...my son is a fuckstick with possible homicidal tendencies. Here's your guns back junior. This should go well."

So the Father has to stand trial as an accessory.

Yes, that's part of a mandatory minimum sentence, the first thing I listed in my post.

No sense in having laws if they aren't enforced.

They'd have to charge him first (as they should).

And then determine if he's as mentally fucked up as his offspring.

What's the old saying about the nut not falling far from the tree...
