The Senate has passed a bipartisan bill to protect Mueller from being fired by the Donald.
 

The bill will probably not become law though but it does fire a warning shot at the Donald.

Even if it were to become a law I doubt that the law would stand when it reached the Supreme Court.

Mueller is under the Executive Branch. Which IS the President Of The United States.

Trump has given no indication he wants to fire Mueller. This is dumb. He is perfectly within his rights to do so if he chooses.

Trump can't fire Muller.. He can only fire Sessions or "possibly" Rosenstein.

Trump isn't a dictator nor a king no matter how much you would love that. He can't fire random people who are part of different departments.

He can only fire Sessions because Sessions is a member of his cabinet. He may or may not be able to fire the dept attorney general aka Rosenstein but Trump most certainly can not directly fire Muller..
