He bought a $1.19 pack of Mentos. An off-duty police officer pulled a gun on him.

This video was posted in an article on racism.

I viewed it twice but the way the guy looked to the right then stuffed something in his pocket looked like theft from the back. I’m not convinced it was racism. Maybe the area is Hispanic or South American but he’s not black or Cape Verdean (many from Cape Verde around here look white or biracial).

Did I miss something? It ended well and I applaud the cop. He could have been a dick about it. I just think it was a mistake and not racism. But nowadays, every non-white person is claiming racism.

The article was very well-written and gave light to the ongoing problem of police distrust.
