Trump is literally bat shit crazy.. He is attacking Amazon, because Bezos owns the Washington Post. Trump is fucking unhinged and a threat to to this country and our consitutional freedoms.

I just read this. Postmaster General should do it - instantly. Watch how quickly Amazon will use FedEx or UPS, and then watch how much money the post office will lose.

And a FYI.. The post office is not losing money. They are being mandated to prepay pensions for employees who do not even work for the post office yet.

I use Amazon all the time so I understand this. However, this is simple math which Trump doesn't seem to understand. If the USPS doubles the price for Amazon, Amazon will just pull all of it's business and move whatever they use the USPS over to Fedex and UPS. That would be a huge loss for the USPS.

On top of this, Amazon would then be able to sue the USPS for violating it's contract.

You are looking at this as if Trump has any logic behind it. Trump doesnt give a shit what they pay.. He's attacking Amazon because Jeff Bezos owns the Washington Post..

Where I live Amazon uses their own delivery service AMZL_US

They pay local people to deliver 7am to 9pm 7 days a week and we have 2 hour delivery and same day delivery.

Here's an ad to be a driver: "Make $18-$25/hour delivering packages with Amazon . Be your own boss. Great earnings. Flexible hours. Make more time for whatever drives you." https://flex.amazon.com

They take a pic of the package on your porch everytime they deliver a package and send it to you with their notification of delivery. :thumbsup

They can only do that in areas that they have local distribution centers. Usually near major cities.

I'm in Orange County an hour and a half from LA and an hour and a half from San Diego :thumbsup

Raising rates on Amazon solves ZERO. 99% of the leg work involved in shipping is already handled by UPS and Fedex.

imo, there's nothing to solve re: the deal. amazon and USPS made a deal and they both agree it's working for them.

as you pointed out, USPS is hamstrung by congress and by declining first class mail deliveries.

my business ships a very large number of packages on a daily basis. I've got reps with every carrier and they all compete for my business. I buy business supplies routinely from amazon and well as being an amazon seller. I'm very familiar with labels and NONE of the labels on packages I receive or ship have multi carrier tracking SKUs on them.

Also.. If you were such a large shipper, the supplies would be sent to you free of charge. There would not be any need to buy your supplies through Amazon.
