Avengers: Infinity War WTF Marvel!!??? ( SPOILER ALERT)

I just saw Avengers: Infinity War...i mean...WTF!?
My nephew came out crying. Some of his heroes are...gone? ( mines too )
So Marvel really fucked up this time.
First with Logan ( how do you explain to a kid that Wolverine is dead...? ) and now
some other iconic heroes of our childhood. ( Spiderman, Dr.Strange, and so on)

To be honest, i think that none of the Marvel movies made in the last years are suitable for children. They have gone too far with these twisted plots and shitty scenarios that
are no more suitable for everyone as parent to go and watch, as my father did with me
when i was a kid.

So Fuck You Very Much Marvel!

brassmonkey 05-20-2018 01:52 PM

they are all dead... maybe... i think they were sent somewhere. :2 cents::2 cents: i don't really like these kind of movies.

GAMEFINEST 05-20-2018 01:59 PM

They all come back in part 2

Klen 05-20-2018 02:48 PM

Funny but i watched in cinema today too. The thing which i wonder where the fuck was thor when thanos arrived, was he taking a dump in forest? And also, they failed to contain thanos just because quill was mad? But anyway, i dont find cliffhanger so dramatic, as marvel is notorious for bringing dead heroes back hero(like they did with Ag.colton and nick fury), plus let's not forget how Dr.Strange did said how he saw one winning outcome, plus he said before how he will let die anyone to protect stone, yet he exchanged stone for ironman life, so he clearly seen how ironman can undone the damage.

beerptrol 05-20-2018 02:52 PM

I wouldn't worry. The way they fuck up these time lines and shit. They will be back in a new timeline or alternate universe, time travel, or something like that. Dead doesn't really mean dead in the MC universe

Thanos probably scratches his nuts and bam, everyone is back!

I stopped watching the movies because of them messing with the timelines. I like Deadpool better

well they like mixing timelines without warnings. wolverine and a bunch of others are dead. these are stories before they died like star wars.

So you're mad because Marvel made a bold choice and didn't do the same old boring-ass run-of-the-mill shit?

But don't worry...they'll undo all of it in part 2.

brassmonkey 05-20-2018 04:40 PM

i think i cracked the code! :1orglaugh ok in order for spider-man to be dead they would have to go against the other movies! spider-man went to college! in infinity he was in high school! now what?? :pimp:pimp

I just go with the idea that each series is in it's own timeline

I saw Infinity War on opening weekend and my Girlfriend was balling her eyes out too, so it's not just little kids that got hurt. And if you hit up Youtube and looking Infinity War Crying, you'll find alot.

In my opinion, Infinity War is as good or better than "The Winter Soldier", which is my all-time favourite Marvel movie.

Think about it. They HAD to kill off a shitload of characters to make the movie work. You have to believe that while they all have amazing powers, they can still be hurt or killed, otherwise you won't have any emotional investment in the characters or the stories at all.

I *LOVE* a good time travel movie, or movies with alternate realities or dimensions, etc. And I thought that the way the characters died was handled really well when it comes to "time travel".

Did you watch the post-credit scene? If not, let me tell you what happens: SPOLIER ALERT!!

At the end of the movie, Thanos has snapped his fingers and half of the heroes disappear (Brilliant!) The post-credit scene shows Nick Fury and Maria Hill are driving around when cars with no drivers start crashing and helicopters with no pilots start falling. Then Hill disappears. Then when Fury realizes he is disappearing too he clicks off a message to someone... we don't know who it is until the very last frame when a new logo is revealed: Captain Marvel.

The ending of the movie is fantastic and the post-credit scene is beyond brilliant. The first Captain Marvel movie we will get to see in March 2019 takes place in the 1990's. Will she receive a text message from Nick Fury in the future? (The device he used looks alien). Will she know something bad is going to happen 20 years in the future and can she fix it? Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 hits theatres 1 month later.

Will she be able to fix everything and stop my girlfriend from crying over the loss of half of the Avengers? I am Groot!

Sorry for geeking out. I absolutely love the MCU. I am thoroughly entertained.

No don't do that. Think about it like this instead: The movies like Hulk, Avengers and Iron Man, are all in the "MCU", or "Marvel Cinematic Universe". The XMEN, are in their own Universe. (This is for legal reasons, but it serves the stories well too). The exception to these rules is Deadpool, who while is from the XMEN Universe, hints that he's from the MCU.

Daniel Piers 05-21-2018 03:52 AM

They have already announced Doctor Strange 2, Spider-Man 2 etc... Wait for Tony Stark to die forever in the next movie, that's the moment your nephew should cry :)

CaptainHowdy 05-21-2018 04:32 AM

Thing is ... death is the stuff heroes are made of.

why are you people reacting so overly emotional to such shitty mcdonalds mass entertainment? Makes me worry for you people if you encounter a real tragedy in life... you'd probably die in shock if you already cry for this mass produced crap :helpme

To me it's easy. If you're a Marvel movie fan, you have a 10 year investment in these characters as you've probably seen every movie. The death of these characters caught people by surprise, and it was handled in a way that I thought was really well done.

And of course, nothing is forever in the MCU, but it somehow didn't matter.

As much as people enjoyed some good laughs at the Comedy of Infinity War (and Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2), they "enjoyed" the good cry at the end of both movies.

I didnt seen it either, just read a book which was based on movie.

XMaster 05-21-2018 06:45 AM

I liked this movie! First Marvel I actually liked enough to see it again .
Regarding the heroes, you can secure your nephew, they will be back... Their souls have been trapped somewhere (maybe in the stones of infinty) and they will be released when Iron man kicks Thanos ass. (however, Iron man might be die for good in this one...until the next reboot)

^^^This

Plus, remember how we see that the Red Skull is not dead, and in the scene at the end with Thanos and young Gamorra the sky is the same color as the Soul Stone. I think everyone who got "erased" were transferred to inside the stones.

2MuchMark 05-21-2018 07:32 AM

I hope they are not all trapped in the soul stone. To me it's a bit too mystical, and I prefer time travel / alternate realities / history-changing sci-fi to mystical stuff anyway. And since Thanos has the Time Stone (Doctor Strange's's's's "Eye of Agamotto"), and since Captain Marvel is based in the 90's, I'm hoping they will stick to the sci-fi time travel thing.

I just found out that Agent Coulson is in Captain Marvel. N o i c e! Love that character.

The Porn Nerd 05-21-2018 08:16 AM

How about watching some movies made for adults instead of acting like a 12 year old your whole life? Sure if you have kids and you go I understand but grown people watching this shit? Get a life people please. LOL

Every thread about us liking movies you come in and show what a hateful asshole you are. Your DNA forces you to inject hate & negativity into everything you can like a virus that's killing you.

Coulson died in the first Avengers movie, but was saved by alien DNA or something and used in Agents of Shield. AOS referenced Infinity War in the last 2 episodes. Coulson didn't die in the last episode but even if he did, it wouldn't matter because since the upcoming Captain Marvel movie takes place in the 90's, we'll be seeing a younger Coulson in that movie.

I'd be seriously interested in your opinion about a good movie

And again, if you love characters like Darth Vader, Spider-man or Gandalf since you were 7,
it'd be hard not to love the movies with them.

Marvel/Disney isn't going to kill off all those characters. They will be back.

Have you ever read the comic books? They kill off characters all the time. The movies are quite vanilla in comparison.

Now if your kids are too young to read comics, maybe you shouldn't be taking them to these movies.

And not just that, they have dozens of story variants, alternate time-lines, doing same crap all over again.
Just look at spiderman - first it was just spiderman, then amazing spiderman, then spectacular spiderman, and then they pulled same shit with movies. Kind hard to connect anyway, leading to nowhere.

Well, yes and no. In the comics, they would push characters into alternate universes, different times, etc, but each would tell a new story.

This is different.

While Spiderman was created by Marvel, it wasn't owned by Marvel. Marvel sold the rights to Sony a long time ago when Marvel was going broke. Sony tried many times to make Spiderman as you know but it barely worked, with each movie being "ok", but not more.

They gave up, and sold the rights back to Marvel. Marvel then inserted him into Captain America: Civil War and made "Spiderman: Homecoming", 2 movies in the MCU.

On a side-note, the XMEN franchise is also a Marvel creation, but it was also sold to another company when things were bad for Marvel: Fox. Fox has been doing really well with the XMEN movies, but you have never seen any characters from XMEN in an MCU movie, for vice-versa. This is because despite Marvel creating both sets of characters, legal reasons prevent them from crossing over.

Get this: In all of the MCU movies, there is never one mention of the word "Mutant" - that's because fox "Owns" this word when it comes to characters. That's why on Marvels Agents of Shield, characters with abilities are referred to Inhumans and not Mutants.

Disney just bought Fox however, that means that everything could change in the near future. Wolverine vs Hulk perhaps? Who knows.

(decimate, as in decimal, means to reduce by 10%)
