RIP SexKey 1997-2018
 

Believe it or not, SexKey was still around right up until just recently. The site has been up and down like a yoyo for a while now, and it's been down every time I've tried over the last week, so I'm calling it. RIP SexKey, last of the AVS's.

Should I try to deposit my last check?

So long, Sexkey. You were good in your time.

Made a lot of money years ago with them!!

Loved them back in the day. I'm a little surprised they survived this long.

The good ole days. When you could build a three page site behind Sexkey and watch the money pour in.

They should never let a well-established brand like SexKey just disappear. Surprised they could not sell it, or turn it into a tube or something.

No. Not the last one at all. They (AVS) are still alive.

What about AdultCheck? Was the biggest AVS.

I used to really like sexkey. what a shame.

Made some great money pushing them over the years. The earlier years.

Im talking about the check being good. It was an unnecessary jab. Just because the design is aged doesn’t mean someone isn’t paying

I didn't mean it as a jab and sorry if it came off that way. It's a genuine question. When programs simply vanish with no communication or response to emails (as many have) is it generally safe to assume the last check won't bounce? SexKey have always paid on time and I don't mean to imply anything bad about them.

I still remember building fast and dirty sites with little to no content, list them at their index and watching in disbelieve $20's pouring in. It was so easy, it felt like stealing.

Are you looking for an alternative to host your sites or to forward your traffic?

I have a website with a paid membership and was offering SexKey as an alternative signup option to catch those surfers who didn't want to pay. I'll be fine because it turned out that most preferred to pay my membership fee rather than sign up with SexKey for 'free'. I'll miss that extra income though.

You can try to make a channel in our system and forward to it those users who don't want to pay. Maybe it will bring you extra income.

That's an interesting idea.

How did you present that without it detracting from your regular joins? Did you present it right on the join page or did you use more vague verbiage like "not ready to join? Click here."

Happy to see all the love for Sexkey! Yes, unfortunately we have been porting old legacy code to a more stable platform. Nobody likes downtime but we expect our new platform will continue to put smiles on faces and checks in your pocket! The site should be up and running within the next day or two.

Sexkey is still around, alas we've been having issues with the new platform we migrated it to a short time ago. Thank you to the many fine people who have been messaging me about this in the past couple of days.

ok then .............

I've got my regular sign up option, then underneath, "Access is also available for free for SexKey members" followed by SexKey spiel and script. My regular joins are non-recurring and give me less than a SexKey signup, so it doesn't detract.

Man, I knew I should've phrased the thread title in the form of a question!
