The painting was not destroyed. It was just damaged (fortunately). I don't know if it was a real one of a reproduction (both versions are possible). But the museum has estimated the damage as a half of million rubles (about $8200 USD) and (fortunately again) it will be recovered... or if it was just a reproduction, it will be replaced by the new one - I don't know.

As about that guy... He was not drunk because as he says, he has drunken 100 grams of vodka, which is almost nothing for an adult male. I think he is just a psycho.

In 1975 Kiev was a part of the USSR (there was no Malorossia anymore and no Ukraine yet). She lived in Moscow and her mother is Russian (listen to her interview above). The modern Ukraine consists of the territories of the former Ukrainian Republic, made by Lenin and Stalin. For example, all the Western Ukraine (e.g. Lviv) is a territory, which was occupied by the Soviet Union (Stalin), annexed from Poland and joined to the USSR. Now we know it as the Ukraine. Educate yourself: Polish-Ukrainian War.

The map of the Ukrainian Soviet Republic above explains just everything (Lenin, Stalin and Khrushchev have created the Ukraine as we know it). The Ukraine has always been a part of the Russian Empire and after that is was a part of the USSR (that's why the Ukraine means "outskirts" in Russian). It's got the independence only in 1991 when the USSR has collapsed.
