I am curious more on the lines of the affiliate sites
With the rules being quite strict in the EU and the changes that took place in May 28
What are you guys doing
Are you modifying your privacy policy
Are you added cookie warning pop ups
Are you actually tracking those cookie pop up acceptance

Are you doing nothing?

I left this a bit late and it is somewhat overwhelming. Every site i visit just to see what they are like have highly different policies , some very out dated, some not doing cookies

Not possible to be compliant as affiliate. I mean, it would be required like 2-3 popups with cookie warning to be fully compliant. I think most of users would rather just close page then bother with multiple clicks.
Tho, technically, you could put info with message, "with loading this page you agreed to have a cookie from this website and all websites which you click link on this websites. Click here to find about all cookies which you might have and manage your preferences". So if the user want to delete cookies or opt out you need to put that option.

Pop ups? Fuck no, it is ridiculous to stuff site with multiple useless pop ups. My sites are not hosted in EU neither focusing especially on EU. I have privacy policy explaining that my cookies are not used for tracking (because they are not) and that I don't gather any user data except server logs that are deleted after some time.
I use common sense.

yeah I certainly do not like the pop ups, but even having a members area which i do a free profile area will result in a login which results in a cookie.. I was panicking at first but now it seems the more i read about it the more its insane.. might just stick to private policy making that strong and forget the cookies and just mention what i do with the info collected which is very very little
