Judge rules Donald Trump must sit for a 7 hour deposition!

When will Trump supporters realize that Trump is a liar? Do you think Trump will get caught up in lies during his seven-hour deposition?

Trump must sit for 7 hour deposition in Zervos defamation case: judge

Zervos’ lawyer, Mariann Wang, indicated she was interested in obtaining information from women “who have alleged that defendant subjected them to unwanted sexual touching or inappropriate conduct.”

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Jennifer Schecter asked for written arguments on the dispute.

Lawyers for the parties were in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday to set deadlines for the case including depositions for Trump and Zervos. The judge imposed a scheduling order after the two sides failed to agree on one.

They must make demands for documents by July 13 and respond to those demands by October. They’re due back in court in September and the case is scheduled for trial sometime after June 7, 2019.

“We will do our best to abide by those dates and deadlines,” Kasowitz said, adding that “there are significant attendant duties that the president must perform,” so he may need to ask for adjournments.

I highly suspect this case will not go to trial next year as his attorneys will try to keep it from going to trial as long as possible. This sleaze may die before he ever has to pay the piper on the many law suits that are pending against him. He is a despicable human being and shamefully is the President of the country. It actually was "deplorables" that put him in office.

His attorneys will say the president is to busy to sit down

to busy tweeting, watching Fox Propaganda News, Golfing, holding rallies to stroke his ego, and vacationing at his properties

Mark Shouldice (born December 21, 1977), known professionally as Mark Dice,[1] is an American YouTube personality,[3] conspiracy theorist,[4][5] and author[4] known for his conspiracy theories about secret societies such as The Bilderberg Group, Bohemian Grove events, Satanists and the Illuminati control of the world.[6][7][4][8] Dice has also attracted criticism and attention for his claim that the United States government orchestrated the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

We do have to be careful here. As much as I hate Trump (which puts it mildly) we cannot get to the point where anyone can file a lawsuit and force a sitting President to testify under oath every time someone wants to drag them into court. We must ensure there is a legitimate and compelling reason before we force a sitting President to take time out of their schedule.

However, it seems the courts agree this is a legitimate case so they can move forward.

So here is how this plays out.... When President Clinton was under oath for the Whitewater investigation, it was decided it was perfectly acceptable to ask President Clinton about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. To this day I believe this was out of line and completely inappropriate (and it was the moment I lost faith in the Republican party). But now.... In a case that involves sexual harassment.... They will be able to ask him about every woman who has ever accused him of sexual harassment - and so much more.

MAGA. LOL.

You are wrong about the Clinton case. He lied under oath about Monica during the Paula Jones law suit filed against him which had zero to do with White Water.

The investigation that uncovered Monica started with Whitewater and Vince Foster. Kenn Starr expanded it to include Paula Jones which then led to Monica.

Quote:

Attorney General Janet Reno appointed Fiske as the special prosecutor to investigate the Whitewater controversy and the death of White House Counsel Vincent Foster in January 1994. Fiske conducted investigations, and released an interim report on June 30 that in summary concluded that President Bill Clinton and White House officials had not interfered with the Resolution Trust Corporation, which was investigating the failed Madison Guaranty Savings & Loan, a partner of the Whitewater Development Corporation. Fiske's report also concluded that Vince Foster committed suicide. On the same day that Fiske released this report, President Clinton signed the Independent Counsel Reauthorization Act of 1994, effectively abolishing the position of Special Prosecutor and replacing it with the position of Independent Counsel. Under the new law, the Special Division had sole authority to select Independent Counsels. Janet Reno formally requested that Robert Fiske be chosen, and allowed to continue his investigation. On August 5, the Special Division, headed by Judge David Sentelle of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, decided to replace Fiske with former D.C. Circuit judge Kenneth Starr.

Quote:

In August 1994, pursuant to the newly reauthorized Ethics in Government Act (28 U.S.C. § 593(b)), Starr was appointed by a special three-judge division of the D.C. Circuit to continue the Whitewater investigation.[14] He replaced Robert B. Fiske, a moderate Republican who had been appointed by attorney general Janet Reno.

.................................................. ..

The law conferred broad investigative powers on Starr and the other independent counsels named to investigate the administration, including the right to subpoena nearly anyone who might have information relevant to the particular investigation. Starr would later receive authority to conduct additional investigations, including the firing of White House Travel Office personnel, potential political abuse of confidential FBI files, Madison Guaranty, Rose Law Firm, Paula Jones lawsuit and, most notoriously, possible perjury and obstruction of justice to cover up President Clinton's sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky. The Lewinsky portion of the investigation included the secret taping of conversations between Lewinsky and coworker Linda Tripp, requests by Starr to tape Lewinsky's conversations with Clinton, and requests by Starr to compel Secret Service agents to testify about what they might have seen while guarding Clinton. With the investigation of Clinton's possible adultery, critics of Starr believed that he had crossed a line and was acting more as a political hit man than as a prosecutor.

It's not hyperbole to say this, but Donald Trump can't go 7 seconds without lying. I could cut that number in half and it still wouldn't be an exaggeration.

You are wrong. Lewinsky lied in the Paula Jones case, and it was during the Whitewater investigation that Linda Tripp gave Ken Starr audio tapes of Lewinsky asking her to lie about her relationship with President Clinton. It was during the Whitewater investigation that President Clinton was asked (under oath) about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

Same thing will happen here. All they need to do is put Trump under oath and ask him about every woman who has ever filed charges. Mostly likely they will include names we haven't yet heard of.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

The White Water phase of the investigation was over and no wrong doing was found. Bill Clinton lied in Court to a Judge that was his former Law Student about a relationship with Monica. And that is why he was found criminally guilty. His lies to Ken Star about Monica had to do with impeachment but once again it was separate and apart of White Water. I think you are saying that it was because of White Water investigation that it was learned about Monica but it was the Paula Jones Law suite that Monica came to the forefront, that is the way I recall it anyhow.

There were two separate investigations, one was by the court and the Paula Jones civil lawsuit and one by Ken Star which was an investigation to find grounds for impeachment and criminal matters if found.
