Did you read The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle?

Imagination at work is key.

I come from the age of Reading, and I was about 10 when I read The Lost World, even now I can feel the Mr. Malone's fear running with a dinosaur :) I was scared but kept reading on . . .

But the movie did not deliver. It was just a predictable series of events . . .

They ran out of ideas.

It's just a chewing gum.

I never got into any of these movies....

From the trailer, it looked like 75% shots of people running from things...which if we're being honest is probably all that would happen in a human vs dinosaur scenario. But still, I was not inspired to go see it from that trailer.

Spielberg captured that feeling with the original from the Crichton story. I know exactly what you're talking about because I read Arthur Conan Doyle also when I was younger.
