Which Script Is This?
 

I sent a question to a seller on eBay. Their Captcha script has six numbers to copy. I'm seeking a Wordpress plugin that does numbers only. I realize eBay isn't using Wordpress but need a similar script.

If you are a programmer and can write a simple script with an example set of numbers, I can add hundreds of choices.

The plugins I looked at were text, images or too expensive. I'm not looking to spend big bucks on a specialized script. Simple editing to add, match within three tries or an hour class c IP ban (class c is my preference) but the ban script isn't vital. I can add that later or find a free plugin.

There eventually will be more plugins I'll need written or adapted. I plan to launch this site with security in mind but other bells and whistles will be added as issues arise. PM here or purple laptop at the google mail thingie with no spaces.

A coder told me via email that I'm asking for less than two dozen lines of code. But he's a Linux coder, not Windows...his friend will do it for $300. For $300 I expect the script, twenty more plus five hours of hot, quality sex. Oh, and dinner, too.

Why not just use captcha? It's free.

I see math captchas and images and words but not a series of numbers. Do you have links to a numbers only Captcha?

i use numbers as captcha, easy on humans.

Yes and harder for bots to hack or bypass. I’ll search tonight as I was just recharging my phone.

I tried to get the “I’m not a robot” only code but it’s basically Java and Ajax. I’d rather use things that can’t be blocked

I’ll sniff around tonight. I’m learning a lot about how these scripts work as well as the bots.

nope, its easier for bots to bypass, but at this point it doesnt even matter, bots are getting smart evryday, if your site offers something they want, then they will bypass captcha.

but majority script kiddies will stop even at simple captcha. but if you make captcha difficult enough for bot, it gets difficult for humans too.

i have simple php captcha script that i use , but its not for wrdpress.

Can it be adapted for WordPress? I’ve got friends looking for my script but no luck yet

I knew script kiddies from IRC years ago and if I could remember names ......one was jailed but after ten years, I think he’s free. I saw scripts to bypass captchas and checkboxes.

Ideally, the payment portion of my site will be another URL. They only get that by email after the contract is agreed upon. I might change the URL weekly, like domain.com/wwertt domain.com/asdffg. They’d need to hack into the main directory to list the directories. Or, asdfs.domain.com etc

All the precautions in the world won’t stop a deterined hacker. I can’t store credit card info (against card association rules) online but can keep a paper file.

Thanks. I’d visited before and saw a few I liked, but need coder recommendations. I don’t want Ajax, jQuery or Bootstrap versions in case I get people incompatible with those.

The WPBruiser I downloaded but haven’t installed yet. The free version, not paid. Captcha Plus looks promising but I need a coder to check it and I want to test it first. I also downloaded NoSpamNX but haven’t installed yet. Tuesday I hope to do that.

Years ago I could view code and find backdoors or viruses or trojans. I might recognize something odd now but I’m not on my laptop usually but on the iPad. Viewing source code is possible with an app but I’d rather right click.

Someone here needs to code a captcha script that blocks bots, bans hackers by class c for a month (except aol weenies) and is simple to use. Big bucks out there for the coder who creates this for millions of Wordpress admins.
