Free Software

This morning I read an article about free software... And I discovered GIMP which is a photoshop like photo editor. What else is out there that is good?

BroadwayJoe69 06-16-2018 10:15 AM

Wouldn't be surprised if you were into...GIMP...if you know what I mean ;-)

Virtually, any software that you pay for has an opensource version. If you need a "good" free version of MS Office, you have LibreOffice or OpenOffice to choose from.

Filezilla - FTP
LibreOffice - Office Suite
BlueGriffon - WYSIWYG HTML Editor
Firefox - Web Browser
Thunderbird - Email Client
VLC - Media Player

I use VLC - great.

I've heard of Filezilla, just never used it. I'll add it to my list.

Thunderbird.... Email client... People still use these?

For office stuff I use Google Docs.

Rochard download Pot Player it is better than VLC and is 100% free. The features it has are outstanding. Better than any player I have ever seen paid or free. I used to use VLC and Pot Player has it all. Almost unbelievable.

BTW Filezilla is fabulous.

I prefer Media Player Classic because you can have a borderless window. Borders on VLC no matter what. So ANNOYING!

Pot Player is far better than media player classic. Try it I am satisfied that you will like it much better. It is unbelievably rich in features. The best I have ever seen in thirty plus years of computing paid or free. I have used MPC and VLC both and there just is not any comparison.

To be honest I would try it but I don't see the need. I watch like 1 movie a week and that's all I need it for, to open a movie and play it full screen.

My most useful free tool right now would be Atom. Everything else I use on a daily basis, aside from browsers, is paid for.

adultchatpay 06-16-2018 04:14 PM

is it a FREE trial?
