Help For an Industry Vet in Need
Hey everyone.
I don't know how many of you remember Marc Womack. He was one of the first people I met in the industry about 15 years ago and I still remember how helpful he was to a noob like me. His girlfriend is very, very sick and the medical bills are getting pretty crazy. Marc is taking care of her full time now, 24/7, because they couldn't afford to keep her in the hospital. Here's a link to the GoFundMe page. I'd appreciate it very much if you'd at least take a look and read her story: https://www.gofundme.com/save-tiffany?member=256060 |
Isn't Marc married already? and to a different woman?
We're talking about consumption Junction Marc right? |

No it’s dollars.

You mean the same Marc Womack that scammed people out of hundreds of thousands of dollars when he abruptly closed madisonavenue.com and didn't payout his publishers or refund any deposits? The same Marc Womack that was having his sales people solicit deposits the same day he closed up shop? No thanks, I'll pass on that one...

I don’t know their financial situation, but he had a good income and her job pays very well if truly a college professor. Doesn’t she have medical benefits?
He’s spent $8k. I’m sorry, but for a big player in the industry, that’s a week of pay. Either he had big toys or bad financial advice. I know how I handled seven figure hospital bills. She can get Medicaid or the equivalent if unable to afford care. Plus every hospital has a fund for the indigent but I can’t remember the name. Bring her to the USA for free health care. If he’s so broke, move here and marry her and get on Medicaid and add her. USA hospitals will diagnose the illness. Took three weeks until I got transferred to Boston as I was unstable in critical condition, but Boston hospital got a diagnosis in days. I was in a nursing home for nine years. $300/day or $110,000/year. I paid privately for two years and then my state took over. Help is out there if you know where to look. If he ripped off people, I’d be leery. Is the money really going to her hospital bills or is he pocketing it? I don’t know him but if you fool people once, only a fool gives a second chance. I wish her luck. Being tied to a bad name won’t help her. |
Yup

Any business dealings aside, he's in a real pickle. |
$30,000 is a lot of money in the PH. That is roughly Php 1,500,000.

Best wishes

Just finished reporting that GoFundMe campaign for misleading statements that confuse donors. When Marc using the invoices paid (42,146 + 15,000 + 43,613 + 9,766 + others) and then quotes expenses in USD, he indirectly is suggesting/claiming to be making installments on money owed in USD. Invoices legally must be issued in the country's own currency, which is PHP.
A CT Scan in the Phillipines does in fact cost up to 6000 PHP but not USD. At the current exchange rate that would be around 100-115 USD. |
Lmao....

I agree NALEM. It IS confusing how its presented. |
I remember the name but I can't put a face to it... Regarding the bills it probably comes out to about 8k USD or so but yeah it's a bit misleading. Seems like he should take her to another hospital if they haven't figured out what's wrong...

why not just petition the hospital to forgive the debt or cut it in half? they boost the price of things to cover the debts of the doctors. no secret about that shit. when i had surgery they were charging me $200 for two pills i was taking every 4 hours. i was in icu for 3 months. i mean i watched people die around me. they had us in this room in a circle. one guy he rode a motorcycle i never looked over at him. he died like 3 hours of being there.
