Of course it is. The only people I have seen posting anything in regards to walkaway are all lifetime Republicans.

The Democrats did similar things discounting the Republicans in 2010 and then got washed away in a red wave.

The truth is Kane, that no one helps Republicans more than Democrats are right now. All the constant acting out, fake news, incessant screams of "nazi" and "racist" to shout down any conversation is finally coming back on the party.

All you have to do to see for yourself is check google trends and twitter to know that its a massive movement that in the last couple days exploded after slowly gathering steam for a few weeks. The party is being recognized for what it is... a rudderless party of hate... without a vision. without a platform. without anything that any reasonable person can buy into with respect to believing in a better future.

And you're complicit in the hate. Everyone on the left is. Even on this very forum NOT A SINGLE PERSON ON THE LEFT will tell someone like Bladewire to shut the fuck up and stop calling people hateful and racist and nazi and "alt right" (whatever the hell that even means). I'm not criticizing you... i am trying to open your eyes. I don't want a government controlled by one party all the way down to the lowest state levels. I want two parties with equal power battling for the best ideas.... but geez. Why aren't reasonable people like you saying "hey, you know... maybe we should lighten up on the "you're a racist", "you're a nazi" type hateful behavior? This is the very thing that voters keep voting against. Anyone on the right got called "racist" for having any sort of opinion at all on policy... and guess what? it seems all that extreme behavior and generally vicious, hateful attitude is coming back full circle hard as people walk away from Democrats, deciding thats not what htey want to be a part of.

Will you be the first on the left to tell someone like Bladewire to stop his incessant BS and baseless attacks? or crockett or bronco or the rest? Or will you be right there with them, silently letting it happen to your own direct detriment? One thing is for 100% certain, its only ONE SIDE making the super vicious attacks and calling those they disagree with the worst names imaginable or wishing them harm and death.

What would you feel if every time you looked at any discussion on politics and policy, someone was just shouting "you're a racist" and "you're a nazi" and "you're a xenophobe"? And they're lumping in your family and your friends as well. How long would it take before YOU got upset about it and pushed back a little and started thinking "You know what? enoughs enough"??

That is where the Left largely is in their attitude and behavior and why so many are leaving Democrats right now. I would love to see more balance but this shit is getting insane. I am super liberal and it drives me nuts that the Democrats are trying to make the border partisan. It is not really up for debate. Let him have his stupid wall and move on. He said Mexico will pay for it. They won’t. Huge tax cuts for the rich. Huge spending on more military. I used to be a hardcore Republican under Reagan. I was right until the Whitewater investigation. The investigation itself was fine, but when they started asking Clinton, under oath, about Monica.... That was uncalled for, rude, and unfair. That wouldn't have happened in a court of law. The ONLY intention for that line of questioning was to embarrass the President. They weren't after the truth, they just wanted to embarrass him.

What I am seeing now with the special prosecutor and the collusion investigation is disgusting. Again, the Republicans have clearly shown they are not remotely interested in the truth. Gowdy the other day was telling the director of the FBI to "wrap up" this investigation because it was taking "too long". Excuse me? First of all, this is an investigation into a sitting Republican president so a Republican Congressman has zero right to "demand" anything of the FBI from an investigation. Second.... This investigation isn't taking too long. How long Watergate last? Seven years? How long did the Whitewater investigation take? The investigations into Benghazi? The email server? I have news for the Republicans... This is just starting. This investigation will go on for years. Even if they find there is no collusion, the investigation will continue into all of the other crimes they've found. Every time they turn around they are finding illegal activity. I can just imagine the crimes they find with Trump.

You damn well know he will be impeached at some point. Even if the investigation finds no collusion, they can impeach him for accepting charity money and using it to pay off fines for his hotel.

Watergate didn't end when Nixon resigned. The investigation continued after he resigned.
In 1975 John N. Mitchell, John Ehrlichman and H. R. Haldeman convicted of conspiracy, obstruction of justice and perjury. Even After Nixon resigned, Nixon gave testimony in the case in 1975.

Just because one person pleads guilty and resigns his office surely doesn't mean the investigation just suddenly ends.

I dont think at this point that you're being serious. Nothing in polling anywhere indicates anything remotely close to the notion that Democrats are going to do well. Polling indicates that increasing numbers of Blacks, Hispanics and Millennials are leaving. And in large numbers. Donations to Democrats are record lows and even right now, a vocal minority would have you believe is a catastrophic political problem for Trump such as building a stronger border, 3/4+ of the voting population is 100% for it. Even in California residents are turning against sanctuary cities in record numbers - and that IS the Hispanic vote. Legal Hispanics are now turning against illegal Hispanics as they should.

anyway, to be perfectly honest, I don't care what happens in the mid terms, the system by design, tends to balance itself out... but what is troubling is the increasing gulf between each side and a media that doesn't report news anymore but instead writes stories like they're the 15 yr old hot, mean chick in high school who thinks she can be a twat, say anything, do anything and attack anyone and never be accountable. We literally had anchors on major news networks crying about children at the border. That's not news. Thats inauthentic and blatant manipulation. CNN and MSNBC almost have lower COMBINED ratings than Fox News right now. Whether or not you're on the left or right, everyone should be troubled by this fact. Why are so many on the left going to a right biased news station than left biased news stations? I would say to you that they are tired of doom and gloom, they are tired of being told "if you're a straight white male, you ARE the problem (in everything)". This last election was won by who? The white middle class. Rather than learning from that, the Left ratchets up the rhetoric and digs in on losing positions and doubles down on calling everyone "nazi". Thats not a winning plan... thats why they've been losing.

you're right. no one is born republican. no one is born democrat. what distinguishes left/right is a simple matter of how the brain processes a few basic moral questions. what underpins the idealogy is the individuals processing of a few moral questions.

we are born however with a basic framework of morality and the blanks are filled in by experience. we are born with a great deal of fascinating knowledge such as those relating to basic physics, being able to innately recognize at a few months old helpful and harmful people, knowing at a few months that one object should not pass through another or that bad behavior should be punished, not rewarded. it's actually extremely fascinating. without going into deep detail "conservative" doesn't mean "roll back the clock" in regards to how these issues are processed in the brain, it means "hey, lets slow down here because though change can be great, we are moving away from millions of years of evolution which have served us very well to shape our behaviors which improve our ability to survive and propagate our genes are often correct, so lets take it slow".

if you look at it strictly through the lens of a political ideology as something that was born 100 years ago or whenever, then the elegance and beauty of what it really is is missed... it's an evolutionary behavioral trait greatly improving our ability to cooperate and survive as a group, where EVERY culture into two basic groups, largely representing both basic behaviors similarly. One saying "move forward" one saying "well, lets be sure". If you look at it within a 50 year timeline, that all gets missed. Every culture has the same basic split - it just appears to manifest itself in different ways because of cultural differences.
