|
Will he start by handing out his? If so where do I sign up?

China does this and it works out very well for them.
I'm fiscally conservative so I don't like the theme of "free money" for people that don't, or refuse to, make money of their own. |
How can cash be free if it has monetary value?

There should also be a huge army of global robots so people no longer have to work... unless they want to. :winkwink: |

If you give the working poor on up 500 dollars a month. That money will be spent paying bills, buying food, or buying goods and services. It will go back into the economy and not into buying back stocks, politicians, or just sitting in some account

Let's Test this theory, at the Hard Rock next January ! Free rooms for all, courtesy of Ricky :thumbsup :thumbsup

Don't believe me? 28% raises for min wage workers in ontario in the last year and it's already happening. Not even a year in... and that is just a wage hike... |
Quote:
Wages sure as fuck don't increase with the cost of housing or the cost of living, the middle class is almost completely gone because of corporate greed. Something has got to give soon and it will not likely be very good at all. |

what happens to you personally doesn't matter. there are a million reasons rent can go up and down. property values, demand, jobs... but if that and everything else goes up in the same 8 months? It's not corporate greed... |

Umm sucks this needs explaining to you. |
If you give away money it will just devalue the currency by whatever portion of money supply it represents.
As well there is no guarantee it will be spent on bills or for anything practical. In fact I feel if you gave everyone in the USA a million dollars today there would be a great many who would have blown through it by the weekend. There would also be those few who would double it. Poverty will never be fixed by throwing money at it, it's more complicated than that. |
