Interestingly enough, the Old Testament includes lots of PURIFICATION rituals which, when applied to modern practices, leads to HEALTH

1) Heating metal instruments = sterilization = less death
2) Washing hands = hygiene = less death

No. The printed word actually used in the english language versions of the bible is infact 'shit' however I changed it to 'excrement' when I posted the direct quote on GFY, so as to avoid offending anyone. :2 cents:
