Saw it! Liked it! Didn't love it, but liked it! Good fun, good sci-fi, good super-hero stuff.
But but but but but but but: When the credits role, don't get out of your seat. Like a good Marvel movie it has a mid-credit scene. And this one is a fucking doozy. As in audience cheering / "Oh shit!" gasping doozy.
Marvel abso-fucking-lutely knows how to fill cinema seats. Congrats man, congrats.

"Ant-Man is the name of several fictional superheroes appearing in books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby, Ant-Man's first appearance was in Tales to Astonish #35 (September 1962). Come on man, let it in. Start with Iron Man 1, and then watch all 19 other movies. You'll thank me.

Yup. Didn't love it. It felt kinda slow and quiet at least for the first half. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe if it trimmed 1-2 seconds off of every scene it would have felt faster, I don't know... the first one was alot more fun to me I think.

Yes, Rent it, or see it on Cheapy Tuesday. But if you're into the MCU and care about Captain Marvel or Infinity War, make sure you avoid any spoilers.

I was going nuts waiting for Infinity War and I hated the fact that I had watched too many trailers, including one that reveals GOTG in Infiinity War. This one.
(Fast foward to 2:15).
It would have been such a cool surprise if it had been kept secret.
And for Ant Man & The Wasp, alot of the best jokes & gags are in the trailer. DUMB!
I think I am just going to stay away from all trailers for MCU movies from now on.

^^^ Holy shit, what a coincidence. That's exactly the same movie list POW's get tortured with in war zones! Statistics have shown that the highly trained detainees who have seen the worst atrocities in real life can only handle the first handful of movies up until 'Captain America: The First Avenger', during which most of them break and spill all the beans just to stop the inhumane sadistic torture.
In recent statistics, this method which is notoriously known as 'Marvelboarding' has taken the #1 spot from Waterboarding as most effective torture method.

i could list hundreds of them but for instance, Aliens was on yesterday and thought i'd watch it, hadn't seen it in years... and i was amazed at how great that movie still is. It blew me away once again, incredible movie from start to finish. One of the best movies of all time imo.

Well, I also like Alien movies but they are old ('79,'86,'92,'97) and if you saw the last one (Alien Covenant 2017) it was a crime against humanity.
So do you like any movie from the last 1-5 years, or just watch 30 year old ones again and again and again, because they were good?

Aliens is a great movie imho and one of my favourites too. It's super well written, it's scary, it's fun, and is excellent science fiction.

Well, yes and no. There are lots of great movies all based on aliens... some share similarities with other movies and some are you unique. For example, Aliens and Arrival. Both are completely the opposite of the other, but I love both.

Sure, but there are still great differences... Compare Dawn of the Dead to Maggie. Huge difference, but both pretty good.

Ok I'll give you that. But there are still differences except in cases where movies are obvious ripoffs of other movies.

My pleasure! And again they ALL tie in together, some more than others. If you can watch all of them you'll be up to date. FYI they are all lots of fun.
Some are better than others too. Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is by far the best of the series. Thor 2011 is probably the worst. Still "ok", but more or less forgettable.
Don't forget to watch the post-credit scenes. Each one usually references another movie in the future. Some hint at Infinity War, some do not, and some are just for fun.

Well, if you want to understand everything, then all.
It's a series, e.g. you will understand Civil War, if you saw Age of Ultron and Winter Soldier, but you won't understand Winter Soldier if you didn't see Captain America - The first Avenger

That's right.
